Hello again, here is my second question. A friend of mine wants me to meet a friend of hers, she thinks it could be a good match, I don't really like when people do that because I feel really embarrased.
Any way, after a few months insisting I have agreed to meet him tomorrow afternoon (not in a blind date, but in a group reunion). I asked the IC for advice and I got Hex 7 (2,3, 5 and 6) changing to hex 53. What do you think? Thanks for your answers.

Hello again, I've been reading about this hexagram and the moving lines, the second and six lines are very positive, but, the third and fifth lines are quite contradictory... Any way, I think they are trying to advice me how to behave on this matter. On the other hand, hex 53 seems positive in the way that it suggests to move little by little, step by step... (am I right?)
Well, since the moving lines were somewhat contradictory I have asked the IC What do I need to know? and I got hexagram 53 againg, no moving lines...
Am I on the right path??? Am I starting to learn a little bit more about how to interpret the IC correctly?

Yes :) at least that is what i get from Hex 53 too. The beginnings of a friendship or relationship differ, here it is a step by step proceeding.
Wish you a nice time and hope you like this guy ;)

oh dear . . this 7 to 53 seems too much like a chess game (it sounds like the Yi is teasing you a bit saying you -and maybe he too- are masters of the slow and steady :D)
what follows is only my impression so please treat it as such ;)

I think the lines may go like this: you've been told about this again and again and again (line 2) but it seems that you sit back in your office chair (or couch?) dwelling on morbid things (line 3) and maybe he is doing the same thing too? yet there are things to be done out there if you get yourself out and about (line 5) . . seems it's the only way to see what you're dealing with and make your decisions (line 6) . . so i'd say get all prepped up this looks like it's gonna be a looong evening

let us know how things turn out!

Well, I went out there and met him, and yes, it was a looong evening... He is nice and all that, but I didn't like him, not my type... the first impression wasn't good.
As I said on my first post, I felt really embarrased and a little bit suffocated, claustrophobic... I am not cut for this matchmaking game, I guess, and I feel sorry for my friend because she really thought/thinks that it could work out.
Any way, end of the story (or I hope so...).
I would like to think that hex 53 is telling me to make progress by learning from experience and be patient while the good one comes to my life.
Thanks a lot for your thoughts, I really appreciate it.

Hi,

you may know the story behind Hex. 53 .. in case not it goes like this.
a chinese king once married a woman. By tradition her sister followed as second wife. The woman could not become pregnant. So the king turned to her sister. The sister became pregnant and their baby, a son, became the founder of a poweful dynasty.

In short: you may have to kiss many frogs till you meet a prince ;) .. has this guy a brother ;) ?

The group reunion sounds like a 'mixed bag,' with all those contradictory moving lines.

Top line moving in H7 means to me that something will come to culmination, but more like you were on a battlefield and had acted in an admirably strong and disciplined manner, like a general or superior officer.

I think you are correct in your interpretation of H53: Little by little, step by step. Rome wasn't built in a day.
