Confused by the IC sometimes!

I'm wondering something....and it seems I've read posts on this before, but can't recall what they said or what the general thoughts were..so I'm posting to ask myself:)

I did a reading this morning, mostly looking for some thought-provoking material I suppose...;) I asked IC for insight into the dynamics and energies surrounding a date I went on on Friday that was very nice.

The response was 31.4 -->39. 31.4 seems to be a nice, positive line, yet it seems a bit contradicting... Then the line transforms into 39:Obstruction... And I wonder how a seemingly overall positive hex, with a seemingly positive changing line then transforms into a hex which doesn't seem at all positive really?
How would one interpret this? Is the process one of which something basically positive is transforming into something possibly negative? Or is the transformed hex something that's an underlying (already present) issue of the 1st hex and changing line?
It's confusing to me to get positive, positive, leading to negative.... And when I research my readings for insight, this often seems to be the transition in my readings...:confused:
Curious and perplexed....would love to hear more on this! I apologize if this topic has been posted on many times already:o

Personally I think that you are just trying to put your date under the microscope, you enjoyed it, excellent. But line 31.4 describes a person who is agitated in mind, you have gone into freefall doubt and that is bad, you are now trying to dissect every aspect of your date, stop, what happened has happened for good or bad.

Now, if he enjoyed your company last Friday and is not too busy then he will come a knocking again, so stop worrying and let the Wheel turn.

Agreed WF...you're right about this!! I'm pretty certain he will ask me out again and although I posed the question about what the energies were surrounding the date/connection between us, I'm not all that worried about it specifically. Sometimes I just like to consult the IC regarding things simply for exercising my IC skills and trying to learn more...and today I asked mostly because it was the only thing I could think to ask which was different than the same questions about life which I tend to ask over and over:D
Thank you for responding!! I enjoy getting new responses and hexes from the IC, and then posting and getting additional insight on them from experience and perspectives which I can't see. I feel fortunate to have access to your thoughts and experiences to help me better learn:)
I still often wonder about positive hexes and line messages which result into a transforming "negative" hex....? Not necessarily this topic specifically, although I value your thoughts and agree with you on this question, but just in general when reading and interpreting IC responses?

WF.... I forgot to mention that I *was* very much "agitated in mind" when I posed this question...not about the date or that guy, but other things weighing heavily on my heart...so as usual, your insight into it was very accurate!!
