Chakras-music scale correlations for balance and harmony

Hello all,

The seven chakras are energy centers each associated with an endocrine gland. There are interesting correlations with the seven note musical scales.

The major scale's leading tones are 3-4 and 7-8, this is similar to "achieving the heart chakra level" the meaning of spiritual rebirth into the heart, and 7-8 is similar to the crown chakra's leading toward it's highest ideals (to the next level - octave). The lydian scale with its raised 4th step can be said to "raise the heart chakra."

Thanks for sharing this interesting concept.

I've never thought of self as a walking song emulating colors before, but I will now, and will attempt to tune self the same way I tune my guitar. Maybe hope for a few rich harmonics in the process.
