The machines were rigged.

I don't care what anyone says. I was there.

My precinct organizer got phonecalls all day long: "I pressed the screen for Kerry, but when I went to check, the screen said Bush....I panicked and got a poll worker to help me".

I heard it myself from voters. I don't care what Tom Brokaw or any other slime ball says. I know this for myself. I don't have to listen to spin. These guys cant win unless they steal.

I spoke some time ago about the new voting machines and the technical nightmare that can come from them. I doubt anyone listened, but that's okay. These machines leave themselves vulnerable to all kinds of abuse. Whether anything more will come of this election, I am not sure.

I spent some time selling newspapers on the corner this morning, and everyone was buying til Kerry conceded. Then you couldn't give them away. But just now I was looking on cnn.com and it said Kerry is not conceding Ohio. Looking around to make sure that is the latest news. As I said, this could go to the courts, and if cnn.com is right, well, let's see what happens.

My apologies, this news was posted at 8:45 AM. Don't know why it is still on their site.

Hi Gene.

I must have missed your thread about voting machines, but of course I knew about the problems with electronic voting. Many of us have had ears pricked since Walden O'Dell, executive chief of Diebold, promised in '03 to deliver Ohio to Bush. My own *Democratic* State Senator, Chris Dodd, voted AGAINST a paper trail, and so I abstained from casting a vote for him this term.

I also have followed Greg Palast's reporting about Florida's voting fraud.

People HAVE been paying attention, AND have been trying to do something about it: the Civil Rights Commission tried to open an investigation into the Florida officals who were suspect to be responsible for the illegal voter purges: the CRC passed on a request for investigation to the US Justice Department, but, guess what. Ashcroft did not take it on.

Anyway. My post above was written in the spirit of 43.6 to the community here. I did not cast the oracle for it, I felt it.
