42.6 >3 assistance

This forum has very much helped me in many situations and I appreciate everyone's assistance with interpretations. Just the act of trying to figure out readings has helped me too.

I've been studying several interpretation for 42.6 as it relates to a mutually supportive relationship in which we've 'had each other's backs' that at the moment feels restricted/less open. We've seen each other several times in the last month and each time my friend has been supportive--but reserved. I was thinking time would turn things around but that's not been the case. The loyalty and caring we've built is very dear to me, a rich blessing.

I asked "what do I most need to know about this now?" and got
42.6>3
This line reading makes me wonder if I may have been careless with giving :(

From the reading I get that accumulating increase but not sharing it stops the flow of good things; and that being consistent in heart, over time, are things I need to look at. I understand hex 3 to be about growing something new, which I am not sure how to apply here. Growth in our relating? Difficulties to overcome with nurturing and care?

So, putting this together:
Perhaps to grow together in a new way I am to be attentive to giving back the many blessings I receive and that consistency in my heart (caring, generosity of spirit) is needed in order to open up and keep the flow of good things going. That all this would be a good thing to do right now.

In your dealings with your friend you need to be relaxed but very supportive, as your friend cannot be forced or pushed into cooperating with you, that would just alienate them, so show depth and sincerity of feelings as this is like a trial period, a test to see how you react, and if you have truly changed.

That's most helpful. Your interp pegs how my friend has been relating with me--resistant and cautious, but still present. Makes sense. :)

The line gives me great insight into my own behavior and attitude.
For those interested in 42.6, I may very well have been inconsistent with my support and care (my heart) with my friend during the last several weeks. Not intentional, but more that I let it slip due to other things going on in my life and quite possibly as a reaction to my friend pulling back (which could have made her pull back more).
It really is the day to day love, care and attitude you give others that makes up the whole.
