Hi there Anita...
I've been thinking about you a lot lately. And I went looking for your email address, but it's not in your profile... so I'm writing you here if that's alright.
We have a group of Indians here at the studio doing a special project lately, and every time I see them at the commissary or company store, I think of you.
Today two of the men are wearing beautiful long white shirts, and my curiosity overwhelmed me, so I asked about them. They're called kurtas. They tell me they are not necessarily national dress but are traditional and their religious influence is Muslim.
One of the women dresses in beautiful saris and veils and things every day, and today she wore a sari that took my breath away. The fabric has delicate golden metallic threads woven in with a deep rose thread, and her veil is rose with gold ornamentation on the edges. Stunning.
