I am stoked. Prowling around this site, I looked at some of the reading recommendations. Hilary pointed out that the more translations of the I Ching one has, the better. My experience with multiple translations of the Tao Te Ching persuades me of the wisdom of this advice. I've been using the Huang and Wilhelm translations up to this point, but today I received my copies of the Ritsema and Karcher I Ching with concordance and Karcher's "I Ching Plain and Simple." Stoked! (That's Yank for "excited," by the way.) Thank you, Hilary, I have a lot of work to do and I'm grateful for it. Thanks also to the community on this site, I learn and learn and learn from reading the threads. Namaste.

Daniel-
There are a number of books listed at this link in bold type that I would recommend for serious students, although several are doctoral dissertations and such, the better translations are also listed. There is also a "C List" down the page a bit with a long list of books that I would not recommend.

This next list, below, has thousands of entries, but you may find that some of the recommended books are available online as PDF's:

Thank you very much, Bradford. I shall certainly be investigating those bibliographies as my studies progress.
