I have been asking the i ching some questions about a relationship, and many of the readings have been changing to hex 38 through the changing lines. What does it mean when a hexagram turns to hex 38? This seems to bode poorly for the relationship.

It is always a good idea to tell us what the first Hex was because it has great bearing on the answer. Also, did you actually have a question or do you want us to guess?
it was basically a question about what would happen between me and this girl i just took out on a date. i don't remember the questions or the original hex now, but what struck me was how every reply changed to 38. at that point i began asking more questions to see if the pattern would stick. and it did for at least 4 throws.
