I've asked the IC " How many times a week should I do X? " 45.6>12

Thanks in advance for any insights.

It kind of depends what X is I suppose?

Hex 12 = Standstill

Perhaps a different approach is the answer, if you can't do X one way then a change of plans is necessary, look for a more helpful route?

Hexagram pictures: Temple Gate, Clump of Grass Inverted

Overall judgment: If you don't do X with religious regularity, you will end up not doing it.

Text:

45J
Gathering Together. Success.
The king approaches his temple.
It furthers one to see the great man.
This brings success. Perseverance furthers.
To bring great offerings creates good fortune.
It furthers one to undertake something.

You could ask an expert or consult webpages in your area of concern. Make changes to make doing X more pleasant.

45I
Over the earth, the lake:
The image of Gathering Together.
Thus the superior man renews his weapons
In order to meet the unforseen.

Don't put off essential tasks.

45.6
Six at the top means:
Lamenting and sighing, floods of tears.
No blame.

Consider the bad consequences for failing to perform X regularity.

12J
Standstill. Evil people do not further
The perseverance of the superior man.
The great departs; the small approaches.

Continue to do what needs to be done even if you are criticized.

A few times in my life I have burst into tears for only a few moments because of a bad memory-- sharing the sad moment with someone I was meeting with -- and the moving line was 6 in hexagram 45.

A flash flood of deep emotion.

Then gone.

Someone crying within the context of a group (and a group could be only two people) -- that is 45.6, is it not?
