44 and health

Hi everyone,

I'm at a bit of a loss with 44 in this case and I'd appreciate some opinions.
(yes I know... 44 once again!).

I've been ill for quite a few days, with a cold (?) or dental situation (?), or
both - either one could be causing the other, or it might even be something
else entirely (the tests so far are inconclusive). I've been given some very
strong antibiotics and conflicting opinions. I'm really worried about the whole
thing especially as I don't know what it is and what is causing it.

Yesterday I asked, "how is my health going to be today?", 44.
And today I asked the exact same question, and got yet another straight 44.

I find this very perplexing. I am feeling a bit better by the day, both yesterday
and today, so perhaps there's a crisis coming up which I can't see yet? I had a
good look at many versions/translations/commentaries on 44 (once again!),
and the only words that seemed to be sort of apt to illness were LiSe's
treat(ment) and Bradford's dissipation - or perhaps this is wishful thinking
on my part - that 44 could be referring to the fact that the medicines are in
the process of stopping the current crisis.

Any opinions? I would especially welcome comments by LiSe on the treat(ment)
notion, and by Bradford on dissipation.

I think your question is

Will the treatments work?
44 unchanging

The casting is auspicious if you act in accord with it -- as a strong maiden -- and disseminate (disclose) to your physician the full range of your symptoms. A 'dental situation' can become a serious matter, affecting the whole body. When the infection is under control, its source should be promptly corrected.

44 unchanging twice: I'd treat this seriously. It may be as simple as an allergy (both wind and heaven deal with movement of air (lungs to sinuses?), but it may well be an infection, or even the beginning of pneumonia. http://www.medicinenet.com/pneumonia/article.htm I also concur with Tom, that tooth infections can lead to serious complications, so I'd treat this aggressively, meaning antibiotics and your physician's close monitoring. In fact, aggression is generally an aspect of 44.

Here's to your expedient renewed good health. :bows:

Thanks both for your comments, they are very helpful.

pocossin - My question was more about how the situation is
progressing. You're very right and I am indeed doing everything
I can to act as a 'strong maiden' and take all necessary steps.
If the 'strong maiden' is me (or also me), then it's encouraging
that 44 describes something impermanent, a temporary 'affair'.

sooo - My doctor thinks indeed that it's the sinuses, without
being totally certain. Thanks for the tips, I'm certainly taking
this seriously and will monitor closely. You're also very right in
that it is very aggressive, one of the worse 'colds' (or whatever
it is) that I ever had, with many weird symptoms - to my relief
they are steadily abating. Thanks for your good wishes!

Just read in detail that other recent thread on 44, and Bradford's words there
actually sound very apt in this case too, "restraint", "self-preservation", "the
good fight - against entropy". All very much in line also with what pocossin and
medanum6298 said. Thanks all for your input.

Just be sure about the antibiotics which is the means you use for this "restraint"

Great point... actually one of them is far too strong for me, creating
unpleasant side-effects. This strong medicine (maiden?) is definitely
doing the job, but I will certainly avoid it in the future.

yesh, i have this questionmark in my mind too. Wonder what is the maiden and what the prince . Antibiotics could be the prince, but can't help it and accossiate them with the maiden.

if possible, could you give us some feedback when you can/have?

best wishes for speedy recovery

So here's an update and further thoughts. The antibiotics were indeed a
44-type of element, they gave me very strong side-effects, and it's the
first time ever an antibiotic does that to me. They lasted even days
after I had finished the course. The whole illness was also a 44-type of
thing too. It seems to have the symptoms of 3 or 4 different conditions
all in one go, and the more I've thought about it, the more I conclude
that this was just an unlucky occurrence of "4 buses turning up all in one
go". And so I made sure that I didn't underestimate the antibiotics (had
to take quite a few days off work and was extra careful with all of the
instructions, and tried hard to convince myself to continue taking it...),
and didn't underestimate the condition(s) either (booked further
appointments, plus attacked it on my own with triple the nutrients).
So perhaps one could say that I was a bit of a 44 here as well, no use for
the condition or the antibiotics to court me, because I certainly fight back.
None of the three parts involved here should underestimate the other.

In the days after, I got a lot more positive readings on the whole thing,
even a straight 34, so I'm hoping I've done my best. Fingers crossed....
I guess if the I Ching could re-write and/or edit itself nowadays, it could
perhaps add a chapter 65 for Catfight (triple 44 ;)).
