I asked "Is this the correct path for me?" With regards to i-ching.

58.5.6 to 38.

I get a tentatively positive feeling from what I read but if someone could elaborate or what not then please do...

I read 58.5 as: "trusting is dangerous" and 58.6: the I Ching dont' want to tell you of that path is good for you; maybe, maybe not. There is something very attractive here, but you doesn't see very clearl at the moment. It seems that this kind of 'opening' leads to 'opposing'. I shouldn't have a positive feeling about going this path.
Warning: I'm not a specialist, this reading is just a quick impresion of someone who is learning.Take it for that. Hope it can help anyhow.

58 is a fairly affirmative hexagram I'd say. With the detail of 38 though it could be saying: "This is the right path, but be prepared to sacrifice. Especially those who disagree with your path."

Also, there are certain joys in Fire, just as there are certain ones in Lake. You could drown in all the pleasures of the Lake with no means to dry off.

Or you could sit by the side and fish, converse, and be content. As with nearly all the I Ching's answers, it's highly dependent on your attitude and willpower.

No, it is a trap (reference: Ma's Iching, line 5/6). Watch for disagreement or may be financial losses.
Hexagram 38; line 4-5 Li (fire); line 1-3 Tui metal
Li suppresses the metal. The use trigram suppresses the body trigram.
用克體，求謀不成: this means you do not get what you seek for.

A six line analysis is not required . The answer is obvious.

Your statement is an example of 38. So is polarity and paradigm shifts. You may be divided over the matter. "What I seek is a further understanding and a different option."

However, what appears to be a big part of this answer are its cautionary pitfalls, expressed within all three lines. The Yi seems to be saying, you have everything right now to live fully, and that to look forward for a reward, through the IC, such as obtaining wisdom, success in business or relationships, is misguided. It's not only important to do the right thing, but to do it for the right reasons.

38 can imply that a fresh perspective would draw you into the River Changes.

I just read your last post here, and your reasons seem clear and reasonable. So I'm reverting to the paradigm shift and polarity theory - because part of 38 is maintaining who you really are.
