Since January, I've asked about this now finished relationship. 44 and 34 often show up. Here they are again, tho I'm not asking about the relationship this time.

Old "44" thread
http://www.onlineclarity.co.uk/friends/showthread.php?16883-Unchanging-44-how-can-it-be-so-ambiguous

Old "34 twice" thread
http://www.onlineclarity.co.uk/friends/showthread.php?17152-34-twice-about-nosediving-relationship

Now the relationship is a thing of the past. A big Phew! Plus tears and heartache. Feeling rather crazy at the moment. The divided self.

So I asked Yi about me. Just me, not including him, what a concept:

What is my purpose in life? 34.2 to 55

What do I need to improve about myself? Hexagram 44 unchanging.

Palming forehead, not this again:

I wrote a few more paragraphs here, but upon reading them today, I don't they were what I need to think about. ...34 and 44 follow me around like two yapping dogs. I just don't get it.

This is almost an aside, but the vague answer of "Perseverance brings good fortune" in the single changing line, to as broad a question as "What is my purpose in life?", might be an example of the wit and humor that often comes out in the I Ching. Like it's saying, "I can't answer that for you, it's up to you, but keep going and you'll figure it out".

Reminds me a bit of this quote (also with the emphasis on trigram fire in 55):

"As far as we can discern, the sole purpose of human existence is to kindle a light of meaning in the darkness of mere being." - Carl Jung

Not" almost an aside," mryou1, I believe you've cracked the code. Keep On Keeping On is pretty much key to what I do NOT do when in doubt or out of harmony. The fainting couch for me.
