I found out something rather embarrassing about someone I know and I have been contemplating drawing it to the person's attention.

What if I show this to him?

‘Meeting a master in the lane – not a mistake.’

It sounds like this is a problematic situation. However, showing this thing to him would not be a mistake. It would be giving him a bit of inside knowledge almost.

Do you agree?

Tell him in private.
Where noone else can see or hear.
A letter or message even.

38.2 Richmond: He meets his lord in a narrow street. No mistake.

We come to realize something quite suddenly and cannot escape from it, there is nowhere to go (our lord is the one we must follow). We meet him coming the other way but it is good to see truth when, or particularly when, it is going the opposite way to the one we are facing.

You will help that person very much, it will be a surprise for them but also it will lead to the removal of that obstruction, as shown in 21 (Biting through some bone/obstacle).

Usually our lord refers to a peer or equal. I don't translate but this how it's worked for me when an actual other person has been involved. Otherwise it has referred to the friend within, which one can also be in opposition to at times.
