oh my!! I'm all smiles.

Last night I did something I have not done in 16 years. I met a man and I kissed him within a couple of hours of meeting him.

It was so surreal but not uncomfortable.

We met, and found that like me, he has shamanism in his family, he is also a Buddhist but leans heavily towards Hinduism as well (me, not so much). We stared in each others eyes intently and when he left our dinner party, I walked him out and we kissed.

I said, "oh, this is interesting. I don't understand it though". He said, "you will".

Sounds like a journey to intimacy to me.
At first- not sure- distrusting- is this real?
Then by the second line- ooh- we're similar. This encounter is okay.

And it sounds like your thoughts/feelings Ladylab as much as his.
It struck me that the question you chose to ask was about him and his feelings. Sounds like it might be yours you need to get to grips with. Like you he is opening to learning- that exchange "I don't understand"/"You will" sounds rather 55.4 to me.

I don't usually feel I can comment here but your post struck me.
I too recently kissed someone after a couple of hours for the first time ever.
I'm still trying to understand what this means about my relationship to me, my body, others, closeness and distance.

Well you know...gotta go with the flow of things.

It's scary because my emotions are still raw from my last two lovers. I had a long term boyfriend (years) then went from him to this passionate, intense affair with Mr. X and now just want to take it easy but then all the sudden THIS happens. *sigh*

He he you can't fool the detail police ... well i take it that new relationship isn't the same as the kiss incident as that only happened last night. :mischief:

no I'm not missing that relationship. It has been with someone I have known for a while and what for sex and talking. A little more than friends with benefits but not romantic.

This was different. It made me smile when no one was looking. And it was sudden like, "bam!!"
