By way of an introduction to myself and the way I envisage the use of the I Ching. My 38 year old daughter is presently in hospital, in labor, having in likelihood what will be her last child. She already has a 11 year old son and a 9 year old daughter.

Here at my home I posed the following query in its two obvious variants, since she refused to have the child's gender revealed before birth, to the Yi: As to the future life of the child what if it is a girl? What if it is a boy?

In response to the first part of the combined question I received: 4, 1 giving 41; for the second part the reply was: 50, 1, 6 giving 34. I am presently going to hospital to see who develops. Meanwhile, what are your thoughts on the question and its responses. I'll be back when I know more. Thank you.
