Should X continue in their studies?
37.2.6>5
Should X go to work first?
6.1.4>61

The hexagrams seem pretty confusing. Why does hexagram 6 show up in working, does that mean they should continue study? But continuing study shows a 5, waiting. What does this all mean? Taking both would be pretty conflicting I think.

Thank you.

The lines suggest that X should indeed carry on with their studies, their duties, because in the end they will be successful. Hex 5 is waiting, continue to do what you have being doing, knowing that soon success will be achieved.

Does someone want X to go to work? If that is the case then it is better to drop the subject and let X finish their studies.

Willowfox, thanks for your reply.
X has finished their studies, but is thinking of furthering their studies. Going to work means postponing future studies for some time (indefinite?) before continuation. Not going to work poses problems too, as there would be a time gap between acceptance of the next level of study and the present time. Yes, X has been pressured to go to work, which leaves X conflicted.
