How do you interpret hexagram 29 as a resultant hexagram? Is this a positive or negative outcome?

Absolutely bad, always, like getting a death sentence. No hope.

Yamabushi I think Brad is teasing you....I am anyway.

See this thread http://www.onlineclarity.co.uk/friends/showthread.php?t=8682 where it is explained how it is not useful to think in terms of hexagrams being positive or negative

If you read it you will see why he is teasing you

I started with Yi one year ago, I think I learn a lot till now. I have a lot to learn yet.

I briefly read tread from your link, yes when 41 turn around situation can be solved. It is another question how much will 41 last.

Now I would be very grateful about help with my question and 28.3.4>29

No, it isn't as bad as it seems. Just be careful and mindful of what your goals are (whatever it is you asked about). It is a precarious time, with much uncertainty, and missteps can lead you to pain but sure footing and clear and sincere goals can get you there. Final results are, pretty much, up to you.

A Chance To Let Go

Da Guo 28 says that you must have experienced a stormy encounter with something that stretched your limits recently. It is either you have been forced to accept something against your will; or tolerated the intolerable.

Kan 29 says that your passive response has actually stirred up a stormy change in you. It opens up your capacity to let go some of your past negatives accumulated over the years. You might even have created opportunities for yourself to resolve some past emotional conflicts with people that matter to you.

Be alert for these openings. Most importantly, no more pulling back and act now! You have put up with so much to earn this golden chance to let go. Enjoy the ride. And good luck.

One last reminder : act now means act to resolve conflicts, and not confrontation.

In fact, do actively look around you for opportunities to resolve any conflicts, big or small, past or present. Your overall scores of successful resolutions will give you a glimpse of the final outcome of your trial. It is a good gauge of what sort of emotional force you are riding on.

My best conclusion : whatever the outcome is, it is really an opportunity to move on.

It just occurs to me that my fellow Yi Ren (a name I coined for someone who practices I Ching; meaning : A Person Who Changes) : Sparhawk has captured beautifully what I am trying so hard to express here, with a single graphic in his tag : is more like this .... above.

From Huan 59 to We Ji 64

I choose to answer your request publicly as I am really not into giving private reading.
Your query: about your trial.
Your I Ching reading: from Huan 59 to We Ji 64

Huan 59 says that there is a dominant event that is unfolding around you with its own unstoppable momentum currently. This is a strong wind of change started with a major cause in the past. The seed could have been planted long ago, but it has started to germinate recently; triggering off a storm.

Since it is unstoppable, it is taking you to a place somewhere in the near future. Where you are going to land depends on whether you know how to ride on this wind of change.

It is very positive because your changes are going be aided by a powerful tsunami. You are going to be totally transformed, inside out: a new person with a new life - a reward for answering the call correctly.

It is also very negative as you have to first survive the tsunami. You also have to quickly learn how to surf in a tsunami. Failing which, you are going to land flat on face, crushed. You will be also a new person with a new life; except that you have to start everything from scratch- an awakening lesson for you.

Luckily, Huan 59 is giving you a short course on how to surf in a tsunami.

First, it is your attitude. This is an opportunity and not a dead-end road nor punishment. Maybe it is a test; but at least you are qualified to sit for the test. Get this right or you will be doomed.

Second, it is your commitment. Take your pick: be a driver or passenger.

Third, it is your perspective. You have to learn how to see beyond the obvious. Every dark cloud has a silver lining. Trust this wisdom: the view is breathtaking if you can see beyond the dark cloud.

Fourth, it is your approach. This is a highly emotional period. You have to learn how to release your emotions; especially the past hardcore types. Besides crying, you can try going round resolving conflicts of any sorts, real or imaginary. Some key words are: forgive, forget, accept, tolerate, love, compassion and so on; as long as you can bring the word alive.

Once you learn how to surf, you will be well on your way to next state of being, as predicted by I Ching: Wei Ji 64.

Wei Ji 64 says that there is an overflowing of emotions that literally stop you from functioning properly. In this condition, you could hardly move an inch, let alone resolving anything.

There is a fire element in Wei Ji 64. In other words, there must be a fire inside you somewhere waiting to be ignited. To ignite it, take on the challenge confronting you. You will surprise yourself with the sudden surge of energy that literally propels you across this troubled water.

It is an opportunity for you to overcome all your problems and stand up again as a real person. It is alright to indulge in your own sorrows; but an over dosage will drown you.

The image that is outlined so far by I Ching is that you are overwhelmed by your trial and drowning in your emotions; and the opportunity to transform yourself created by the trial, is slipping away by the day.

Huan 59 gives you some very good tips to handle this situation. And Wei Ji 64 gives you the match to light up your fire. It is time to act.

My advice to you: stop consulting I Ching or anything or anyone for answers that you want to hear. The solution is the fire in your belly; ignite it and confront the problem head on.

So far I keep seeing opportunities around you. As long as you act, you will be more than okay.

A confession

I have a confession to make: I purposely misinterpreted Wei Ji 64 in my reading. However it was done with an honest intention to help.

Huan 59 suggests that you have been given ample opportunities to ride on a strong wind of change for the better; but Wei Ji 64 suggests that you are not taking those chances at all.

Wei Ji 64 is basically our natural defense system to let off steam when under pressure. It is saying that you have been spending too much time letting off steam but not enough time resolving issues.

The fire element in We Ji 64 represents an extreme stress factor. And I was hoping that by asking you to draw fire from your belly, you might be able to trigger off Li 30, an adrenaline rush. The rush should give you an energy boost, and hopefully will be sufficient to lift you out of your pit.

My plan is to give you a day or two to try out this approach. After that, the truth must be revealed.

In the first place, I do not want to present Wei Ji 64 wrongly.

Secondly, the best motivational force is self-motivation. To change the course of life requires tremendous amount of energy that could only be generated through strong commitment. Without this, an external push, especially one that is created through delusion, could only last so long.

What I have done is just to give you a nudge. The rest is up to you.

Good luck!
