Hello Friends,

Might you be able to help me a bit with understanding what my reading is concerning my total knee operation on May 9th? I received on first try Hexagram 59, dispersing changing lines 1 and 2
and also received Hexagram 7 Army. According to Hilarys' interpretation it looks as if things will go well in the final analysis? No changing lines in the second one Army. Does Army imply that it might be an arduous task for the surgeon and he is going to have to call in reinforcement? I sure hope not as he is considered an excellent knee surgeon with a fantastic record and I wouldn't want to be the one that he has a bunch of trouble with, lol. Please give me some hope people as it is urgent. Another reason I need lots of hope
is that my husband is in a wheelchair and just had a heart attack two months ago and he needs me to be strong for both if us. Thanks everyone for any insight. :)

yes I think 59.1.2.>42 is a very good auspice for a knee operation. Much benefit flows to you through having it (42) 59 shows dispersion of obstacles, whatever is hard or rigid...that might refer to why you need the operation. 59.1 shows bringing aid to the situation and 59.2 shows one turning to sources of support one knows and trust, one's altar.

I specifically remember getting 59.2 about having an allegedly painful cortisone injection in my shoulder at the local drs surgery. No promises were made but it turned out to be very helpful in easing the whole inflammation/pain cycle so I could use it again and eventually free it up and sleep without hurting it when lying on it. I just remember one translation 'blood flows over the alter table'' and it did bleed a little but was not nearly so painful as i expected. Often 59.2 can refer to our fall back or accepted forms of support, so I think it's a good auspice for medical treatment.

I don't know what your exact question for hex 7 was but no I really do not think it means the surgeon will need reinforcement. hexagram 7 is about focused disciplined approaches and can refer often to group situations where there is a kind of army. I would say a hospital holds an army, is an army,,,and i would also say your own healing mechanisms in your body are an army, adequate to cope with the operation. I will link to a thread on hex 7 unchanging here http://www.onlineclarity.co.uk/frie...periences-With-Unchanging-Castings-Hexagram-7 as it may interest you but I see no cause for alarm with these readings. I think you will cope well and when recovered will be happy with another lease of life for your knee :)

Upcoming Knee operation and reply from me

Trojan I so appreciate your replying to my urgent request. Thank you very much. It seems as if everything is looking up for the operation but that I must organize myself to the point that "Hey this is an operation that I need to have, go and put everything I have into it and the army will be there to supervise strategy?
I'll admit that I have been very brave up until the last two days, balking at wanting to go through with it. I've had eleven major surgeries and a few were very scary indeed! So one can understand how I would feel now. However since I did make it through those very scary ones with the help of Godly forces and wisdom from the surgeons, then this may just be a piece of cake and I want to see it as that if that is okay with my reading.

I understand very easily that you are saying that you bled a bit more than you should have. Does that mean I will have the same experience?
I'm kind of naive so I'm not sure what fall back or accepted forms of support is referring to? Might you please tell me a bit more about the bleeding aspect and the accepted forms of support? BTW you have been a real source of moral support to me and I am grateful.

Hi,

From my experience on a similar situation where I received a few 7s , I would see 7 as a positive sign and that you are in good hands. That's how it was for me. An excellent professional and a lovely person. Maybe Yi says , everything is under control and that you can relax :)

line 2 has to do with the leg and walking , so sounds apt going for this surgery as it will strengthen it (h42)

You are not naive in those procedures , so its normal to worry but those lines leave a nice relaxing taste.

Wishing you success and a speed recovery.

Hello Anemos,
It's 2:52 am here in NW PA and just can't sleep so took the chance to check in here and am so glad that I did because your interpretation is music to my ears! Cheers for my new knee. Thank you very much.

Oh, no I scarcely bled....it's just I had been fearful of the injection since I had been warned by dr how painful it would be. I'd read in Karcher the night before "Blood flows over the altar table" and that just stuck in my mind as I sat at the drs table and after the injection he had to dress the wound a little. I just noticed how literal the answer felt....and then later the relief I felt that it had worked This doesn't suggest you will bleed more than you should...more like everything is fine, the amount you bleed is just right. More than anything I feel 59.2 is about turning to what is safe , to what is proven to be trustworthy, something you have some faith in that has helped you before...just like you said here...

I've had eleven major surgeries and a few were very scary indeed! So one can understand how I would feel now. However since I did make it through those very scary ones with the help of Godly forces and wisdom from the surgeons,

The wisdom of skilled surgeons is something trustworthy to turn to, that you have turned to before and of course your spiritual helpers in whatever form they take for you. That which you have relied on before you can rely again on again now. That is what I mean by 'accepted forms of support'. I feel you should go into this trusting that you are in safe hands both physically and spiritually. Also look at 59.1 from Hilary's book

'Rescuing with a horse's strength.
Good fortune'.

"Using the resources and power available to help the situation now will make a key difference:there is enough strength to get free, enough buoyancy to stay afloat"

IMO 59.1 is exellent for getting free of problems, for rescue. So this surgery you decided to go with is a good idea. Your decision frees you.

And re hexagram 7 that also augurs well for expertise and precision and competence. So I really do feel these readings are reassuring you are in good hands.

So your surgery in on the the 9th May...I will send you a thought then :)

Trojan and all others who have responded, this is wonderful to know before my surgery as my husband having had a heart attack and our son coming from 40 miles away it has all been on my mind, now I can ease off and rest assured. My surgeon is an up an coming "star" in the world of orthopedic medicine by all accounts known and I used to have to go 100 miles away to get the very same expertise. I would say that I have been blessed indeed by God! Thank you for all your kind comments and conern. Blessings always.
