Well I have to change health plans. I have two options available which are cheaper overall than the exchanges. They are not too different on regular stuff, but the cheaper one covers more serious stuff 40% and the other that covers 80% costs $250 a month more.

What if I take plan A? (the cheaper plan.)
34.6>14
14 - Context - Wealth. Saving money?
34.6 - The Goat/sheep can't go forward or back. Good fortune to recognize the limitations.
I can't change it but it will be good fortune if I work within the limitations?

What if I take plan B? ($250 a month more.)
47.1>58
58 - Context - Happy Talk.
47.1 - Sitting on your butt under a tree stuck in a rut, feeling kinda bummed.

Hmm. What do you guys think? Writing it out, I'm thinking the goat is better off and it's the lesser evil...

I'll let you into something ;) these comparing 2 options questions actually don't work so well because if you look close you can often see Yi is giving you an answer about the whole situation in question 1 and then following on from that in question 2. In other words it is answering more intelligently, more conversationally than we may imagine.

So here's my impression of how Yi is answering you conversationally, as if in conversation with this.

LL I don't know what to do about my health plans - option a ?

Yi. You said it yourself. This is the position of 34.6

They are not too different on regular stuff, but the cheaper one covers more serious stuff 40% and the other that covers 80% costs $250 a month more.

Right now you're sort of stuck and it isn't possible to make a good calculation while you just have these 2 options in mind, so stop trying just for a while and it will soon sort itself out, most likely with an option you haven't heard of/thought of yet. (34.6) So don't press ahead like the ram in the hedge right now, let it go for a while. It's not so urgent just yet is it ?

LL. Option b ?

Yi. By continuing to press for a choice right now you are kind of in danger of locking yourself into something you don't really want (47.1). You are also possibly getting yourself down or getting yourself into a position whereby if you heed the advice of 34.6 you won't need to be in.

In short I see direct advice for you to stop trying to make your mind up right now. If you make it up too soon you may find it entrapping. If you can, if time allows, let it drift just a little, then a more fortunate deal can be made and you won't find yourself in a 47.1 position.

Of course if there is no time at all to let it drift before fixing on one then this can't apply so much.

It is also very often the case with 34.6 that there is a whole other solution there but like the goat trying to get through the hedge, you are too focused on the options you see to realize there's a better solution to the right or to the left of you. The goat doesn't get free by moving on forward but by wriggling a little, his head this way and that, gently, patiently.

Thanks Trojina. It was a little bit time critical, as one plan was ending and so I did have to choose.

I have come to think 34.6 where you can't go forward or back kind of means well - you can't afford more - and you don't have any cheaper options either! No better plan you can afford really, no catastrophic plan that's a less expensive option - more about you can't go forward or back than about being a goat. ;)
