Hi All! Long time, no chat. I asked a series of career/job questions. I'm currently employed for a company with a very toxic culture. Lies are abundant. They misrepresented themselves. They lied about benefits etc. The silver lining is that it pays well and it's local. Previously, I traveled for work weekly.

Backstory on X. X company is smallish and subcontracts with some major U.S. corporations. I had an interview with the CEO that was rescheduled at the last minute. Yesterday they called wanting to reschedule a portion of it for the next business day at an inconvenient time. They are located in a high traffic area, and it's worse during this time. I haven't returned the call yet.

1. Can you please advise me about the gig with X company?
Hexagram 57.2.3.5 > 23

2. Is the X job better than my current job?
Hexagram 41.1.5 > 59

Backstory on Y company: I worked there for many years. Overall they have a good culture and great benefits.

3. The Y job that I've interviewed twice for, will I get it?

Hexagram 2 Unchanging

Backstory on Z. Z is a subsidiary of Y. Same great benefits except that this opportunity is remote. I applied for it very recently.

4. Insight into the role with Z please?
Hexagram 37 Unchanging

5. Will I interview for the Z opportunity?
Hexagram 47 Unchanging

6. Will I get the job offer for this Z remote position I just applied ?
Hexagram 60.1.4.5

Hi unique cookie,

Since you didn't include the related hex's with your reading,
it makes more work for people to respond to you.
So, do a favor for the people who would do you a favor?
Include the related hex's?

I'll add a thought on #4 and #5.
At first I thought it meant you'll work from home,
But when coupled with the 47...
Maybe it means the company will pick someone in-house for the position.

I think what's putting people off is the amount of questions. There's so many I'd have to devote most of the afternoon to those and I don't have time plus you are asking us to understand a situation that isn't very clear so despite the sensational headlines I don't think I can manage it.

Avoided this like the plague 😇 until thinking perhaps the title was a bit too over-the-top...lol

(As a general point, though - fake/misleading headlines are probably not a good idea. It's offputting, honestly. Imagine if everyone did that. Probably better to just post in your thread again with something like, "I'd still really appreciate help with this" or whatever. That would do to bump it back up.)

I think this 2uc might be quite encouraging. A wide-open field, ready to receive... sounds nice, if it's describing the company's thoughts about hiring you back.

An Update

Job X called me in for an interview. The receptionist said that I was gregarious because I introduced myself to the CEO. We had a good conversation. Before I could send a thank you note they reached back out to me to move me forward in the process. I had to submit my work product and provide references. We'll see what the next steps are.

Job Y turned into another opportunity. That's to say I didn't get that job. But the hiring manager who's a director submitted me to another position reporting directly to her. She was in the panel interview and when I solicited feedback, she said that the interview was great so she gave no negative critiques. I'm glad because the other hiring manager was kind of a doofus. I didn't want to report to him.

Job Z, the remote opportunity, I interviewed for yesterday and have been moved to the next round.

Thank you for those who replied.
