I dislike receiving this hexagram unchanging: heavy clouds without rain. Is there any guaranty that the rain will come? No.

Hmm. And yet to have no rain is a good thing if we haven’t yet finished harvesting crops, or if we are having an outdoor wedding. In those instances it is an ‘offering’ (Rutt) or helps bring ‘success’ (Wilhelm).

Without an actual reading or query it’s hard to really know what the statement of hexagram 9 means.

I can imagine, however, if I was waiting for rain to happen I’d carry a rain jacket with me, but I can’t imagine why this would necessarily make me dislike my situation, or clouds or rain.
