Well, 11 has always been a calming one to receive for me, but as ever, the moving lines are important. It seems to be about attaining equilibrium; trust, harmony etc. and keeping higher principles in mind as we navigate along our path.

Line 4: It suggests that if you're sincere in the intent behind your action then go ahead. But if you're looking to gain something out of it then watch out it could go pear-shaped if you put your needs first. Emphasis on the inner quality here rather than externals. So, gently does it, you need to be careful here.

Line 5: Could be saying don't force it let things flow where they will. Timing. But when the correct time comes then don't be afraid to act. Looking within and carefully gauging things. As it's a a ruling line there's some reason to be happy. The strength and timing are yours to take advantage of IF you can keep your poise.

Line 6: Tricky line this one. It's all going towards change of some kind which is inevitable and effectively the end of peace in one sense. But it's not necessarily chaos. It can also mean you surrender to destiny somewhat and let things naturally go where they need to go without much input from you either way. Don't rest on your laurels thinking that the work is done, however, things can change very quickly and they often do when we least expect it. So no complacency. Don't fight it, but ride it out with what you learned in lines 4 and 5.

If you can do that it will lead to a new phase of creativity energy as symbolised in the transitional hex. Looks like you're in a cycle about to lift off!

Hope that stimulates your own ideas a bit.

The answer speaks of cooperation which will prove to be very successful for you providing you don't neglect the other person. So, go ahead and get really close to them.

You got 11 going to 1 and you say 'Help'. This to me is quite bizarre. Feel it, or you may as well forget it.

It depends on how you see it, because for me line 6 wasn't clear and took over the other two lines, and I wasn't sure of it. I still find difficult to understand hex.1 as relating hegragram though. I got it again today when asking for advice for the day and received 30.2.5 -I don't know why, I always get stock with hex.1.

Line 11:6 is very worrying indeed, and i never had a pleasant
experience with it. It speaks of unavoidable destruction of
some sort, which you can do nothing to avoid. 1 perhaps
means a simple 'and life goes on' in these cases.

You have three lines changing in 11. There is no reason to emphasise the top line over the fifth line. Indeed, it depends how you read the lines, and what this is pointing to is that you need to adopt a strategy for resolving contradictory lines. Until you do, you will always be confused by them.

I don't use this terminology of 'relating hexagram', since it is misleading. I simply regard it as the second hexagram. Second hexagrams don't matter until more than three lines change. Hexagram 1 as a second hexagram can only be a bad sign in one particular instance, namely hexagram 23 changing in the first five places.

I see... the way I was reading the lines was one by one separately rather than as being part of the same response.

I appreciate the help of everyone here. Thank you.

No need to push the panic button. It might be something rather small, like burning the toast, or forgetting someone's birthday. It depends on the situation, the person asking the question, the question asked, and so on.

Couldn't agree more. So, for example, if it was about a toaster, it would be

11:4 - you'll find a good toaster easily
11:5 - it will work great for a while
11:6 - it will stop working
1 - get a new one

The toaster would still stop working tho ;-)
