11 to 9 for attitude to past love

I am expecting my Italian lover from 33 years ago to return soon. We had a lovely 23 day relationship. I asked the yi what my attitude should be to him. And got hexagram 11 lines 5 and 6 moving to 9. Please help. And season's greetings!

I don't think line 6 can be ignored


The bulwarks fall back into the moat.
Don't use the army.
From your own capital, declaring the mandate.
Constancy means shame.'

What was there before isn't something to guard or maintain it's crumbled away. It would be more a time of seeing what's next or what is there now rather than trying to defend a past glory. You can't go backwards here, nothing solid is left to guard but there is new territory perhaps if you look ahead not back.

This might evolve into something very different to what it was before.

Very true Trojina. 33 years have passed after all . But there is big love I'm sure and that's what matters. Thank you. I wonder though if anyone uses the Alfred Huang method where in this hex line 5 is read, not line 6. Does line 5 imply marriage or commitment? Anyway I shall post an update once it happens.
