Dear Friends,

I seek to determine the appropriate way forward in regard to my studies, but I'm unable to identify the exact meaning of the latter reading:

Question:

"What will be the outcome, in terms of worldly success, by attempting to transfer previously accrued university points unto my present university, with the aid of an application, conjointly accruing a bachelor's decree in anthropology and classical studies?"

Any clear vision in this regard?

Thank you and much love.

(Can I transfer previously earned credits to my present university?)
13.2.3 > 10

Hexagram 13 seems auspicious because "Fellowship with Men" suggests anthropology, but the changing lines are moderately unfavorable. Line 2: The department head may be sympathetic but the university administration less so. Line 3, delay, and hexagram 10, you'll need to offer something. A special appeal or evidence of achievement (test or interview) may be needed for the transfer to occur. I think such transfers depends on the ranking of your first university, grades, and the amount of time that has passed.

Thank you ever so much :)

I would anyhow have to write a letter in which i stated my reasons for wanting to conjoin the two study lines.

On the basis of the reading, would you consider the pursuit fruitful?

The reading does seem uncannily appropriate in many ways, however, the direction to which the wind is blowing; appears unclear because of the advice lines.

Much love my friend.

My feeling on this, from looking at your reading and Pocossin's great knowledge and insight. Is yes, this has the potential of being fruitful. Once you have submitted a very well written letter. Go for it. What do you have to lose? Sounds auspicious, once you have done what is needed, you will reap the benefits. Maybe a little hard work and dedication, which it sounds like you have. Please let us know what you decide and how it turns out for you. Wishing you a happy and prosperous new year. :bows:

I get the feeling that what Yi's picking up on is your preference for more of an open field, freer education experience, over a restricted group membership.

10 discerns between high and low, but I think that is determined according to your goals. If you have to lose some credits to be in a learning environment that allows you to tread your course, I think you'd get over that, if the learning experience opened up for you and motivated you. And then again, you may be able to retain your credits. I think that's secondary to which course you will enjoy and profit most from. Whether that's correct or not doesn't matter; only what your heart desires. That's what you will excel in.

Blue_Angel's question, 'What do you have to lose?' is apt, but the situation isn't clear to me. My understanding is that you accrued points at a previous university but not enough for a degree. While now pursuing a different degree at a different school, you are considering whether or not to attempt to complete the earlier course of study at the same time and thus to graduate with two degrees. If that is the case, will you be able to handle a double load? It is better to have excellent grade is one subject than to have mediocre grades in two, and the extra work may delay your graduation (line 3). Even if the transfer of points is permitted, I think you may be asking too much of yourself, and since the casting isn't auspicious, I wouldn't consider the pursuit fruitful.

Hmmm, that is yet another good perspective. Definitely a lot to take into consideration. Still I like Mengs "what your heart desires"... what are you passionate to do? What does your heart desire? Weighing everything out what would you be most happy with? Maybe another question would help make things a little clearer depending on what you know you want your outcome to be. And then... nothing is guaranteed... things change. But its the journey that's worth it ?:)

Thank you all for your kind and considerate replies; it is really much appreciated :)

However, the matter actually concerns conjoining the education so that I may receive a single conjoint bachelor in both fields, which are connected by nature of the study of man; both fields study man and his environment; classical studies with a particular emphasis on the fascinating context of a pagan antiquity; the meticulous, enlightening, examination of a markedly different era.

The purpose would be to finally attain a bachelors decree; which would allow me the freedom and satisfaction of having finalized my higher educational "project"; a difficult process for a freethinking and institutionally "hostile" individual... :)

The thereto stemming freedom would furthermore allow a faster pursuit of a masters decree in an area (anthropology) perhaps more accommodating ("influence") to my general area of worldly activity and service (health and well being)...

Lastly, my grandfather was a professor of philosophy, and he is a specialist in writing applications, and he may be able to help in the process of writing an effective request or application to the university's governing body.

(A few month ago I asked another question: "what should I know regarding my educational path"
(or words to that effect: translated from danish :) )
result: 52 (4,6) 62, perhaps this will help in the final analysis.)

Well I am not as experienced as many others here, I have only just began in my learning. 52 I usually think of as needing to meditate, to find clear answers within and not acting until its clear to do so, right timing. But when reading through books and sites, the first thing that came to mind for me was 52, the image of two mountains, stability. I immediately thought of two fields of study, conjoined. Then I see it as following yoir heart through meditation, focusing. Taking baby steps, one step at a time towards your goal, and adapting to the world as changes arise or as needed. But please go with your intuition and what you feel is right for you. Your studies and story is very inspiring.

:) You are kind, thank you for you considerate advice.

I forgot to mention:

The question that I asked concerning my education path, a few month ago (which I included in my last post) was stipulated before I had considered combining the two fields into one...
