Today I was told my job position at work was being disestablished.

I've been a way from home (3.5 hr drive) for 16 months after a nasty break up. I met another man (also from home) online we've only had coffee and then have communicated 4 months to meet again next week.

I have a 7yo son. So there are a lot of things to take into consideration.

That worries me. In my discussions about coming home I expressed my concern about my ex popping up on my doorstep 24/7. He said that my doorstep could be his doorstep by then.

I think it looks quite favourable for looking for a new job, maybe worry about that first then other things will fall into place and become clearer.

Hi Steve, thanks for that, I agree. I think when shocks hit everything is thrown in the dashboard lol. And I feel step one is positive.

My ex plays a big part in my decision to return home. I think 54 not so much opposed as not getting anywhere with advancing. So it's reassuring.

Haven't heard back on the first job yet. I hope you're right 14.6 it's the one I want Applied for a second one today.

The new guy was a bit distant and I couldn't handle the Possible rejection. Not now. So 28 > 29 lol much emotion in the abyss.

Son is holidaying at home with the family atm and having a great time.

Three weeks until moving day so will update.

I think the job question was general as to whether you will find work, it makes sense if you keep trying unless unemployment is exceptionally high.
