I asked "I Ching, what is there to know about our relationship that can calm my heart?"


I got 16. 4 > 2

I've been feeling very anxious, suspicious, fearful, all that sort of things you feel when you're not sure on what you can count on.

This about a pending relationship, very very dear to me. We've haven't seen each other for a long time but have talked. Basically, we kind of mutually agreed to wait for better times.

One of the things that go through my mind is that he could be seeing someone else - there is one specific woman who worries me - and is lying to me. Sometimes I stop and think I'm being paranoid and absurdly insecure but I seem to be unable control this feelings.


So, as you can imagine I was amazed to read 'Doubt not. You gather friends around you
as a hair clasp gathers the hair.' (Wilhelm) for line 4 of hexagram 16. Is it really urging me not to doubt him and/or the future of this relationship? Or is it telling to have confidence in myself in order to gather others around me?

What's your opinion on this reading (16.4 > 2)?

Yes, you have understood the reading correctly. The I Ching has most definitely assured you that it would be okay for you to calm down and trust this man --

In other words, your suspicions that he might be lying to you are unfounded and not true. It will not hurt you to be his friend/have a relationship with him. The I Ching knows things that we cannot know, and if the line reading says you should harbor no doubts, you can be sure that that is correct. Right now you don't trust that this could be true, but later you will see in your own life how the I Ching gives us good guidance.

I got the shivers. How's it possible? How did you do that? Sorry, but I'm just... wow!! That makes a lot of sense. Yes, it's true he's really busy and worried (studying and working and it has to do with documents!) and around July he's going to finish his studies.

Does this particular reading of hexagram indicate July as a good month?? I just received this reading which is what brought me to this thread, and it strikes me that a psychic I saw told me something about July being a good month for travel for me and to possibly advance things with someone I did the reading about.... very interesting!

Gato uses a special method that allows him to make time predictions. Most of us can't do that. I don't believe the month of July is intrinsically linked to these hexagrams.
