Good morning,

I suffer from anxiety most of the time - no real need to as it appears to be anxiety about anything and everything. This has been going on for quite a number of years and most ly I have put it down to hormones but I am so , so sick of it.

What is the basis of my anxiety Hex 18.1>26

LIne 1 - wondering if this suggests the breakup with my sons' father. Unfortunately both of my sons' suffer from anxiety too in their different ways.

Show me the benefit of using the herb zizyphus to relieve my anxiety

Hexagram 33 unchanging
This looks like it will work well.

thks Liss

It seems to me (and I am usually wrong) that these anxiety attacks come from within yourself. In other words, it sounds as if you have the ability to control how far you let those anxious feeling go, but haven't felt that you could rely on yourself to take care of it. Perhaps find an exercise that will help when you feel the onset of an attack. ie- Count to 10 slowly and then backwards when the feeling comes on.

Just my thought.

I agree on 33. It looks like you're doing the right thing for yourself :)

I like 18.1 because I feel like it completely describes the nature of anxieties to me, or at least how it looks like to me from outside - it does not go deep, but the decay is allowed to creep in. I have never had any myself, but my dearest and closest friend has suffered from it, so I am familiar with the psychological implications of why they come and how they're almost about anything and everything. The cure for her? Learning to let go of trying to control things and trusting that life will take care of her. Now when she feels one is coming, she tells herself that everything is going to be alright, no amount of thinking or stressing about something (even on a subconscious level) is going to make any (positive) difference. Like this line: "Only if one is conscious of the danger connected with every reform will everything go well in the end." Food for thought?

Love and light,
K

Agreed K - thankyou. I am aware of the anxiety happening and I do these things to stop the thoughts but in actual fact it is not so much the thoughts consciously I'm guessing, because I can feel the anxiety physically more than mentally and as you said it is the decay that already exists that creeps in.
I was just hoping there might be, you know, a specific subject matter that I could look further into but if it doesn't run that deep then I'll just keep going with what I'm doing and hope it subsides eventually.

To be quite honest I know I have absolutely nothing to feel anxious about my life is great and becoming more so every day.

Wind - thank you. I got some of the herb this afternoon so I will see how I settle over the next couple of days.
I have a teaparty for 8 readings tomorrow so maybe going into the other realm for a lot of hours will help somewhat too. be joyous - Liss

Hi Liss,
I don't think that the text in line 1 refers necessarily to a literal father/son. I'd rather take it to be an image for past/present. It could mean then that the reasons for your anxieties come from the past - that things have happened and your unconsciousness is still processing - and that you have now, in your present the ability to clear these up and put behind you. 26 to me seems to confirm that you have the strength to do it, but it will take strength and a proactive attitude (eat not at home).

all the best luck for dealing with this!

in my experience, it often takes longer for change to sink in to the subconcious than into the conscious mind - so I am sure, these anxieties will go away anyways as your life gets better and better...but it cannot hurt to try and speed up the process :) Good luck!

Genetics

Godessliss, is this anxiety perhaps genetic? Both of your sons suffer from it.

Living with anxiety used to be a good thing in prehistoric times; it made us hyper aware of real dangers that existed. Anxious people were considered a great asset to the tribe. They were the look outs. Was your mother or father anxious?

26 provides guidance on how to meet your anxiety firmly with kindness. If anxiety is in your DNA, then perhaps the action is to gently adopt a plan to release yourself from its debilitating side effects. You may never completely be rid of it, but you can learn to tame it.
