Me and X have had a tumultuous relationship and currently things seem hopeless. So I asked:

"Will X love me again? " by "love" I mean will we be happy and together again?

result: hexagram 19 line 5 and 6 changing to hexagram 61.

I THINK lines 5 and 6 mean if I stay in the background and not act unnecessarily, I'll achieve what I desire?

Hexagram 61 confuses me. I've read in the forum it is about uniting, but I always thought it was about inner truth...meaning, whatever my gut feeling is about the situation, is most likely true...except I don't have a gut feeling about this one...

and I am still a beginner as well....so I may be WAY off. Any thoughts?

19 has to do with approaching or drawing near. 19.5 and 19.6 are fairly positive, suggesting you will get together again.
61 relates to being sincere, truthful, and free of bias. Karcher says it advises connecting your inner and outer lives. A relationship based on truthfulness is more likely to endure.

The answer is advising you that you have a responsibility to yourself and that you should only attract people to you that can be beneficial to you, so waying up all the factors, has this person proven to be a person you can trust? The next line suggests that you can get in contact with him once again but you will be at a disadvantage.

Hex 61 is talking about a person who is really difficult to influence or bring under control, it can be done but if it all falls apart then only hate will remain.

To be quite honest it does not look good.

Thanks willowfox. I've been reading the forum and like that you don't give the sugarcoated translation...Tony, you gave me hope (and for that I am thankful), but willowfox, I think your interpretation may actually be the correct one...
