19 changing to 41, Interpretations Appreciated

Hi

I am in an unbearable work situation keeps verbally humiliating me publicly and accusing me of making mistakes which I didn't to my other superior. I am currently seeking for job so that I can leave the company, but job search has borne no results so far. I am afraid I might be stuck in this uncomfortable company and situation for a while.

My question to I Ching was "How is work going to progress for me"

And I receive 19 changing to 41, line 1 changes.

From my own reading, I gathered that a higher authority will interfere, but what will be the result after that? Further interpretation will be appreciated, thank you in advance.:bows:

Welcome to Clarity, Myst. Your description of the casting is in error. If 19 changes to 41, then the sixth line changes (19.6 > 41). For me this is a small matter because I work mostly with hexagrams rather than line text. Hexagram 19 implies movement and suggests that you will move to a new job; and line 6, that this will occur sooner rather than later since 19 is near completion. Hexagram 41, Reduction, suggests that you will lose seniority and start at a lower level. I recommend that you read some books or webpages on assertiveness. You need to stand up for yourself. If your accuser knew that you would defend yourself, then you would not be falsely accused. I do not know your situation, but many countries have workplace laws that are in your favor. You need to know your rights. Courage.

Thanks for the prompt response and the advice, the book I had read up on had not specified how to draw the lines, so I had drawn them top down. The correct hexagrams in this case should be inverted 20 to 42, should we interpret from here or should I cast the I Ching again? >.<

This is about becoming greater than how you think you look in the eyes of the one you think is doing something that is not good.

This is how I see it. Then, at the moment of 41, this is about temperance and not going down to a level unsuited for a better person.

The advice is about a generous greatness. I can't describe it sufficiently. All I can mention is Christ, and how he handled the accusations of the pharisee.

In any case, it would be wise to settle matters with this person/company, end their suspicion by undeniable proof as you look for another job. You might not know they'll tell the next company your applying for that you're not to be trusted.

To me the reading speaks of rising above them petty thoughts of whoever this guy/girl attacking you, and not believe what he/she thinks of you in his/her mind. Instead, unintentionally show him/her that you are not, as you stand as your own self with love, dignity, and respect.

20.6>42 is about ways of thinking. This shows two sides: one of being simplistic, narrow, or lacking maturity; and the other the responsibility of a mature mind and spirit.

Either way, if someone above you acts like a child, it's a shame on him/her. But you must not fall into this. It says, nurture good things instead, understand the ways of great people, and enhance the good(42).

Or something like that.

You never know when or somehow you might someday replace this guy/girl. Just don't absorb his/her negativity. If there's anyone greater than this person, you should talk to that guy about this. His/her superior that is mature and professional, that is. But first, you must rise above this. Else, the superior would think this is a mere childish thing created by two childish individuals. Be smarter than this guy/girl.

I think casting mistakes when one is sincere and thoughtful are significant too. Think of it as getting two readings for the price of one
