Hello Fellow I Chingers:)! This should be a fun one for some of you, and is not a very serious question... I asked, "What should I give my mom for her birthday?" and I got 2.4>16. It's like the Yi is saying don't even call her:mmf::rofl:. Well, that's easy enough:p! I was going to decorate a box and fill it with something for her. It actually sounds like it is referring to that, but then says no blame no praise:confused:. Does this mean I should do something else?

I like the box idea, though, so hopefully the Yi is not saying that. 16 is all about the elephant. Maybe I should put an elephant figure in the box? Any ideas here? And 2 is earth over earth imagery... Maybe some earthenware pottery? Or some dirt:p? I dunno:eek:, I never know what to get her. Actually, now that I think about it a little more, the verbiage of the line suggests I should make it a surprise. What do you all think? Anyone have some perspective here they would like to share? All ideas are welcome:)...

Thanks All:bows:

I think this answer is simply telling you to think about it some more, with enthusiasm.

It will come to you..

what's her sign? is jewelry not an option? (it's not for me, for example, because I don't wear any. speaking of which, where was my present!?)

Both great ideas:)! She lives 3,000 miles away though, so would be hard to give her a hug, unless I also give her a plane ticket:p... I think you are right Precision Grace. I am quite sure about the box, so I think the imagery here is hinting she will like the whole homemade box surprise thing, but I'm not sure what to put in it. That is what I need to think about some more. She is an Aries, with Taurus rising and Taurus moon... I know:confused:. The most stubborn woman on the planet! I can tell where she is in life right now, she doesn't want jewelry. Probably not an option anyway with my budget. I know she was thinking about starting this weight loss program, so I could but her some of the stuff she was saying she needs for that. Or maybe a gift certificate for a store that sells that stuff. Hmmm... That could work.

"How would my mom feel about recieving a gift certificate to X?" and got 8.5>2

Hmmm... This sounds similar in a way to the no blame no praise thing in the last reading. Wilhelm writes "he invites none, flatters none." I'm reading this as she would be receptive to anything I send. That she would just be appreciative of my efforts. So, I think I will send her that since I know she can definitely use it. And a few thought that counts knick knacks (I know she likes those). Thanks Precision Grace:)... And of course am still open to ideas or different angles of interpretation here:bows:

well yes, she will love whatever you send her because it is the thought that counts. Shame about the weight loss because Taureans love their food. Presumably even Taureans rising. The Aries part would probably love some sort of activity, although tbh, any Mother would probably love a visit from their child the best ;)

Yes, that's the truth. I think I will just extend a formal invite here. I always go there, and would like to take a trip out that way, but it will be hard for me to get enough time off from work right now to take a trip out that way. Besides, it's been years since she has come out this way, but she will never just take the initiative to come out. It always has to be a formal invitation:rolleyes:. Taureans do love food, yes, but her weight is actually alright, although she would say otherwise She just wants to drop a little more for health reasons. Well, we'll see. I still have like a week to figure it out.
