Hello,

I've just discovered I ching and I'm working my way through it.....i currently trying out ayurvedic medicine to clear spider veins....i have tried quite a few things with no real positive results and have now started using ayurvedic medicine to see if things work out. I asked what effect would it have on the spider veins if i continue using ayurvedic medicine and it gave me 2 different readings when i asked out of sheer curiousity twice.... the first reading was 16.1.2.4 Enthusiam as the primary to 19 Nearing. The second time it was 41.2.5 Decreasing changing to Increasing. It feels like its telling me I'm on the right path and i need to be patient....have i read it right???.....any help would be great.....thanks

Well, first thing I'll say is that it's not really "proper" to ask the I Ching the same question twice in a row like that. The answer is revealed in the first one, anything after that will just confuse you. Immediate follow-up questions are fine, just make sure they're different and expand on the question. Of course there's not really a "right" way to do the I Ching, but most people would probably agree with me on this. Think of the I Ching like a friend or teacher. It's rude to ask the same question looking for a different answer.

So I'm going by your first reading:

16.1.2.4 Enthusiam as the primary to 19 Nearing

I don't know about "ayurvedic" medicine, but it sounded like "folk medicine" or a scam to me at first, personally. But what I get from the I Ching is that at first it won't work, but keep up your enthusiasm and proper regular usage, and eventually it will provide the desired, positive effects. Pretty good reading. Just don't get discouraged if it doesn't work at first, or completely, 100% "heal" you.

Not what I was expecting, and I'm still skeptical of the medicine after skimming over the Wikipedia article on it, but that's what it seems like the I Ching says (to me), so I'd consider its advice.

firstly thank you mryou1 for helping me interpret the reading :)....this is the first time i have used the I Ching so i guess i was curious to see how it works.....and it seems to me in this case that it gets right to the heart of what i am seeking. Ayurveda is a natural herbal medicine, completely safe but it can take time and its highly individual. I have tried the more convetional modern medical techniques but with little result. I came upon this and have been using it for about 3 months and the improvement was slight but not enough to call it a complete success.....so i wanted to know if i should continue or try the conventional modern medicine again.....so based on what you have told me it gives me a clear indication to continue.....thank you for clearing that up for me....:):) what is your interpretation of the second reading?
