2 questions - try to advance towards new position at work? + bike trip?

hello all, apologies for not posting but I was very busy. Im still alive I am still waiting for additional results from the tests. In the meantime I decided to concentrate on my life. At my workplace we have a new team leader and she is not so good, I might be able to move towards a more responsible position but also more stressful more working hours, probably need to stay over time and my tasks will go around quality control so other people will view me as the ''bad policeman''. It will be better paid, though. And I am so tired of stagnation and incompetent people getting promotions at that workplace.

I remember also getting hex 23 line 6 when I asked about whether I should stay at my current place where I live now (its a bad neighborhood as you may remember). So it says about a disintegration but also mentions that a ''superior person receives a carriage'' so maybe it is not bad but says that there will be changes but for a better? Dissolution of old work habits for example? I chose to believe in the positive reading of this hex!

SECOND QUESTION:

My good friend plans to go on a cycling trip that is done by a charity, it is a long ride of 180 km and she invited me. I do cycle from time to time but my bike is not super expensive or anything like that. One more person is going with my friend, someone I don't like that much.

It is a bit surprising because I thought it will be a good idea to ''reset'' myself but:

Hello - not so sure about the work question, but the bike trip just sounds as if it was a bit difficult. Not necessarily because of someones company, but maybe - "to walk with difficulties" - take it literally, you might need some training beforehand? Do you really want to go?

I don't feel confident to answer about the job because it doesn't seem like a simple 'green light' reading to me, but a reading that requires more background information and thought to understand.
(Whenever I ask a simple question and get an answer that is not immediately understandable, it usually means that there is something about the situation or my thoughts about it, that is not so clear.)

I also asked if I should wait for few months and look elsewhere (different company) and got Hex 33.3>12 so it tells that it won't be so simple, there will be some delays. And this new position in current company might be the only way to get out of the current not-so-great team and stagnation. Disadvantages are longer hours more stress it is not a position anyone would love as people don't like persons on this position because the main job is to catch quality mistakes.

Similar for me. Can't really tell that much. Basically, this Job offer means to take on more responsibility, and it seems as if you didn't feel that sure about it, allthough there seems to be some reason for you to accept. On the other Hand, your reading changes to hexagram 2. This is not about a leading Position, but about being led. So first ask, who you will work for ...

Can you give some details on what you mean by "a new team leader and she is not so good"? Is she your line manager? Is she the one offering you the promotion? Will she stress you with too many demands? You say that your workplace is one of stagnation and incompetent people getting promotions. That means that the upper layers are full of toxicity - do you really want to go (and stay) there?

Saying that, in 23.6 > 2 there's destruction in the realms of the 'lowly' and gain for the superior man when walking away. If you should wait for few months and look elsewhere (different company) 33.3 > 12, they'll try to keep you in your current company when they see you want to leave, but it's not a good idea to stay. In conclusion, I believe all this is saying that you should look elsewhere. If they offer you a promotion by all means accept it, but aim to leave soon.

Well this position means moving to another floor and having different line manager and possibly team leader but I will still need to visit the old team and sit there for few hours every day as it is like hot desk position. Youre right upper layers aren't that good either a competent people are rare in that company. I still think that getting any promotion will help me during sea for a completely new company. Our new team leader is very young and inexperienced and she already "proven" on few instances she has no idea how to manage people. Yes this is also a very possible interpretation / point of view.

Finally I asked if I should look for a new job right now and not delay it anymore? Got

This is quite good result! The only doubt I have is that new job equals stress ,too (after all I feel confident and familiar with my current environment) and I have this health issues ongoing now. But who knows, maybe new place will give me less stress than this current one where (I do realize this) there is not much to gain even long term.

My experiences with 45.2.5 > 40 have not been that great. There was a lot of discomfort involved to begin with. In the end there was relief indeed. So although I don't grasp this 100%, I would say don't look for a job right now. Give it a bit of time. Mercury will be retrograde all month also, not great for new beginnings.
