Hexagram 17 line 2 indicates that maybe we are hanging with the wrong people. The commentary says, "if he throws himself away on unworthy friends..." That might be a real good clue for you.

Hexagram 31 has much the same commentary. Line 2 says, One should wait quietly until one is impelled to action by a real influence, (wooing).

At least for now, it shouldn't be on the itinerary.

What it suggests is that X has more things to do with his life, he seems to be seeking the right person for him.
