2 unchanging

Hello,
I asked for a picture of my current work situation (things are very quiet, but intuition tells me it will work out) and got 2 unchanging. Am I right to interpret this as an explanation of a delay or things getting stuck but being very auspicious for future progress? I'm carrying on having meetings, talking to people, doing what I usually do but generally not forcing anything...I would love your thoughts on this.

Hello again,
this one seemed to have sunk without a trace, I still hoping that someone might help me work this on out though! My sense of 2 was that things were bubbling under the surface. I have my own business and even though I've done well over the last few years, built up really good credibility in my sector and a good client list, I've never managed to maintain much stability and things tend to be a bit up and down, either so much work I don't sleep or nothing at all! The beginning of this year has been really quiet, lots of time to think and worry, my partnership ended late last year (which I talked about in another thread), so everything seems to be in flux. I wondered if I was doing all I could, felt a bit isolated and stuck, and worried about what happens next. Also really broke which makes things tricky!! Things are beginning to move, but I needed a bit more clarity on what 2 meant in practical terms, so I asked: What do I need to know about hex 2 and how I should proceed?
The answer was 64:6 to 40
Not yet fulfilled seems to describe my situation perfectly, but I'm confused as to the exact meaning of line 6 (maybe be careful when I've had too much to drink? ) and am I right to see 40 as a good sign for future progress, that things will get better, that my situation will find relief? I always find the bit about taking action if there is somewhere to go, but returning if there isn't a bit baffling...
Any thoughts gratefully recieved, I think I'm just at a loss as to what to do for the best right now!

Maybe nothing, but two things which popped up were "My sense of 2 was that things were bubbling" and the idea of drinking and soaking ones head in 64.5.

Another thought is that 2 is the employed by 1. If 2 is you, then who or what are you working for? Perhaps you may need to account to someone to be motivated, especially since your partner is no longer there. Many people, including myself, find it difficult to get motivated if there's no team to do it with and for.

An extension of that thought, might the Yi be suggesting you look for gainful employment elsewhere? Or perhaps join forces with someone?

Some times, hex 2 unchanging when the question is for a picture of the present circumstances, means that the things -the reality- are as you are seeing them. You see things openly. Now, If you like or dislike what you see, that's another issue
One risk when you are in a unchanging 2 state, is to refuse to see what is in front of your eyes. If you can avoid that risk, but follow reality as reality is instead you'll be ok.

Thanks Meng, its interesting what you say as I came to the same conclusion and have been actively building relationships with people I can work with and learn from, and have been exploring other options temporarily, taking on work that is essentially outside of my usual spectrum. I think being accountable to others is really important for motivation, and usually more fun too.
Jesed I think your perspective is really important here too, as I'm aware of the danger of sticking my head in the sand/under the duvet and pretending none of this is happening. I think I see the situation clearly, and its not perfect, but there are signs of growth.

02 represents potentials and so all that is possible, nothing as yet actualised.

* In the traditional sequence hexagram 02 pairs with hexagram 01.

This pairing of 01/02 reflects the local differences of pure/mixed expression where at the level of pure expression, as reflected in the PAIRING of the two symbols of yin/yang purity, hexagram 02 is more 'biased' to being interpretable as being a little 'mixed', a little 'softer' in purity, than the absolute purity in expression of hexagram 01.

PURITY:
01 : purity, mindedness - through singlemindedness (total trust in self) 01 purity comes out of a context described by hexagram 28 - excess (too much yang)

02 : purity, mindedness - through dualmindedness (total trust in another/others) 02 purity comes out of a context described by hexagram 27 - hungering (too little yang)


Note the skeletal form of 02 associated with hex 27 and so the sense of in need of filling, in need of actualisation.

Thank you for your thoughts, elvis, but I have to admit I'm a bit confused as to what it all means? What conclusions do you draw from all of this?
