After a period of separation a very special person to me (the one I have been in love with) got closer to me again and very nicely!. Is not clear why, he is confused and he is going trough a hard time... and I'm scared to be hurt again, so I asked
What can I expect from this situation?

It is not clear from your post whether you and this person have been intimate in the past but your answer speaks of someone far removed from the action. Whether that is yourself or the other party, is unclear. Perhaps better question could be asked? Like, how to avoid getting hurt again in relation with this person?

yes we have been intimate in a very passionate relationship but that never got to be a stable one! (due to too many problems..)
So I decided to cut it... Now he came back to me with a different prospective for us... but I know is not possible to solve so many issues in a short time and I'm afraid to get hurt..
