Interesting combination for your question on inner work, Juliah, since 21 is linked to shamanism and 50 to alchemy. Biting though exteriors of the cast and sinking your teeth into the real meat or substance, but encountering something poisonous, indicates both progress and opposition. Seems a quandary, intestinal incompatibility.

Perhaps, but I think knowing why and what the effects will be would satisfy you more than mere stripping. There seems opportunity for some real inner power and worth to come from this. Change in it's most evolutionary form - refinement, strongly associated with 50.

I've found that usually I'm the one biting and being bitten. The judgement is typically directed toward my own obstructions. The idea of shamanism is to employ insight (or as in Castaneda's writings: seeing) empowers you to bite through the right matter and condition.

I am aimed at extricating myself from the situation which has been distracting me terrifically. Sometimes I wait for some development and loosing the knots, and even see some signs of it. But alas, perhaps, I am not able to face the fact that nothing will follow! Deadlock. It's high time to turn back. I completely realize that I have painted myself into a corner. Once I went through the situation like this. At that moment I said to myself: "Nothing will happen. Habituate oneself to live with this pain." I did not feel good. But the situation started solving since I had accepted it. And solved!
In 50 I see a birth of a new person, indeed. To have another circumstances I must become a new person. Or, at least, to repeat my previous experience, sink my teeth into the meat, no matter how poisonous and inedible it is. Only after that the transformation will happen.
I see it this way.
