Hi all,

I need any help you can offer.

I'm very close to take a break from Yi. I take in more than I can handle. its too much. I have lost my sleep, waking up in the middle of the night and readings, mine or others come in mind. It started 3 weeks ago. At the beginning i though it will pass. its not the first time but this time, it adds up to many other things and its difficult.

Its not an easy decision to me so yesterday, before saying a final yes or no, I asked.
"what about taking a break ?" 21.4.6>24

At a first glance seems like its not a good idea.
24 makes sense as my need to rest, recover, stay home.
21.4 , on the other hand suggests not to quit
21.6. Closing my ears to what happens leads to misfortune. I feel like 'closing my ears" to those info coming.
if it were about only my own reading I would understand but its more complicate than that so I'm a bit lost.

This reading fits neatly with my "no quitting " side , however, I'm so tired and I need to rest.

That reading will probably be one of thr times I'll ignore what Yi propose, yet will go another rounf thinking again all pros and cons before taking a decision.

Any insight you can offer would be much appreciated.
thanks,
maria

Hi, perhaps Yi is confirming your overload. I think there is danger in using it too much, sometimes something asked of needs to play out first in order for something else to sink in, etc.- IMO
If you needed to ask that question, chances are you are feeling overwhelmed. I got 20.6 once for something major and I still suffer for it but at the time, I did not see another way other then making that decision - I was in a real bind.
I don`t think any harm will come if putting it down for a while and return to your pure intuation. thinking even that you may try to quit, see that it is hard to and then return to this overload state. Hm.
My point is that if you feel strongly you should do something, there are reasons that should not be ignored.

Thanks Dragona , but I'm not using it too much. I don't think I have asked more than 6 questions all this time.

its the depth causes the problem, which reminds me of 21.4 without the good fortune tho

What about taking a break?
21.4.6 > 24

Line 4 suggests that your are meeting opposition, but there is nevertheless still gain. Line 6, that the situation becomes oppressively restraining. I think you should take a break as 24 suggests until you are in better control of your mind. Clarity will be here when you come back.

"what about taking a break ? (from using the Yi.)
21.4
Self knowledge is required in order to be aware of what we want to change in ourselves. We need this awareness of self when we have difficulties internally to overcome and to find a sense of direction, to live in a self directed manner. Such practicing of mindful living brings good fortune.

21.6
It is the part of you that is resistant to change that is telling you to stop listening to the Yi's advice. Maybe it is this part of you that is "keeping you up" at night.

24
Spending some time with enlightened friends, resting in them is important for your self development, and will help you to avoid making mistakes in your life. Change takes time, according to natural cycles. Don't try to force things, treat yourself with kindness.

its the depth causes the problem

Something needs to be bitten all the way through so that it stops being an interference in your life. That could be Yi, but maybe it is not Yi but something else?

Maybe you are upset because you see it might be advisable for you to take certain decisive actions? That some course of action might be for the best?

We need to have a learning attitude in life I think, an overall openness to what the Universe is trying to tell us. The Yi is a tool we can use to focus on listening to the universe more in depth I think, but whether we use this specific tool or not, personal development and good fortune depends on such an attitude. We can always "take a break" from using the Yi, but it wouldn't be good to take a break from having a open and reflective mind and heart.

Hi Anemos, I'm a worry wort by nature, and it doesn't take much to keep me up at night. Anything that can be analyzed will also potentially keep me up. And I had this experience a few times with cards, and I found myself doing them less often, and realized it wasn't that I was overdoing the cards, I was underdoing other things to keep me in the right headspace. So I began meditating occassionally, took some flower essences, and "bit through" the obstacle, which was more internal... I don't think you necessarily have to take a structured break with a set time or anything. You may find a day is enough time or a good 1 hour meditation, or whatever works for you to get yourself more ready to hear the Yi. Meditation helps me relax, but when I get stuck going over things in my mind over and over, doing something grounding really helps. Go out dancing, or make something with your hands, drawing works well for me sometimes, or a good walk in the woods. Walks in the forest are the best for this! The earthy smell of the forest is like smelling salts for this excess airiness (for lack of a better word) for me. Focusing a little on your physical surroundings might help break through these intrusive Yi thoughts, especially in nature. I also like White Chestnut Flower Essence for this. Then, you can return, I think.

when I met with Yi , in a no-Yi book, there was at the appendix some instructions how to construct hex. I took it wrong and I thought you use the changing line not at once, but gradually.

I feel a need to return to those times, the times i was new , fresh, ignorant so since Brad mentioned once that this is another way I thought to use it. After posting here I did it.

so 21.4.6 > 24 is 21.4 >27 and 27.6>24. All made much sense and everything took its right place.

its the 27.6 I wasn't hearing,, or better, ignoring. 21.4 is difficult indeed and I know the benefit you can get. And you have to decide how far you are willing to go.

I read everything you said. I checked my thoughts to see if I miss something else. Than you all. You have helped a lot.

Taking a break seems the best thing to do. I trust my instinct. Rigthly or wrongly don't know yet. we shall see.

Thanks all

HI POCOSSIN !! Not sure I'm all the way back, yet ... We'll see.

Good luck with taking a break, Anemos, and may it be both a fortunate and productive break.
