I'm thinking about doing a 21 day yoga challenge. It is basically where you do yoga six days out of a week, at any class you choose at my local yoga studio. The challenge is meant to help you focus and reset, allowing you to gain greater energy and direction as we move from Autumn into Winter (southern hemisphere folks).

I need focus in my life at the moment, and I thought this would be a good thing for me as I regularly do yoga. I was worried though that this would be too hard for me. I'm doing my honours at uni this year and I thought this would help me push through my studies.

I asked what would be the outcome of doing the 21 day challenge? 45.1.5.6 > 21

Well, certainly seems that there will be a lot of crying, pain and tears from doing this... and the situation in .1 reminds me of my yoga teacher who is lovely and supportive.

So overall, briefly, this sound like an ordeal...but not necessarily that is a bad thing. What do you think?

Would you do this?
Thanks for your thoughts

One thing about hex 45 is that there is always a sacrifice. I would say that it will take a lot out of you to stick to this, but there is no harm in it. Personally, I wouldn't do it, but I'm an older person, with limited stamina for exercise. Don't go by what I would do.

Thanks Ginnie for your reply.

I've decided to do it, with only the aim of doing the best that I can. Even small improvements will be an achievement, and while it will be a big sacrifice it could really help me be focused and cope with difficult workloads that I have at the moment.

I'll let you know how I go.

I did the challenge, well that is to say that I tried. For the first 14 days I was very committed. I found going to be uplifting, and motivating. But then I had very bad news, and I was very sad and grieving (45.6). I found that when I went to the classes I would only end up shedding tears (quietly) on the mat as emotions would just come up and overtake me. I reached out to my yoga instructor, and she hugged me (45.1) and it was great warmth and encouragement but I missed a day because I was a little too complacent with the times (45.5) and came to late for a class. Missing one class lead to missing two... and then my attendance was sporadic. :(

However, I think I will do it again next time. It was actually wonderful to feel my body lift and open and thing became easier.

Sounds like you were ready to let go of some things and not ready to let go of others - whatever happens at that present moment is gorgeous in itself. Good on you, the rest will follow - Liss
