22.1>52 what changes to make

Hullo - I am looking for a deeper understanding of this casting

as 22.1 seems to say be your own person and be strong as the mountain.

as I asked Yi what changes I must make now to way I live my life. I like
the reference to artistic pursuits in 22 - could it be an encouragement to
be artistically myself.

I really need to know more on the 52 mountain symbology - always taken it
to mean yoga practise and meditation. What aspects of character might it
imply developing?:bows:

You might ask yourself what the cart or carriage represents in this case. Obviously it is a means of mobility, of getting around. Sometimes it could represent a group you hang with, a club, a company, a community. Where they go, you are expected to go with them. But it may sometimes represent your own status, your ego, that which you rely on to move you from one place to another, your ticket to ride or to gain acceptance or prestige. In any case, leaving it and walking on your two feet represents independence and freedom.

Within this context I'd interpret 52 to mean standing firmly on your own two feet. Not being rocked to and fro by people and situations. The Buddha's immovable spot.

I like Meng's take on this... Interesting about 22.1. I didn't know it was associated with groups and clubs etc. That sheds some light on a reading I had recently with 22.1 related to a group situation, so thanks Meng

In light of your question, Hopex, I might also see 22 as superficiality and keeping up appearances and also has a fleeting beauty vibe to it. 52 suggests depth to me longevity and mountains are dense within, made up of substance. Mountains reach up into the sky, but are connected to the earth, and are part of it. So, it does seem to be suggesting you do your own thing more, and maybe even develop your own life philosophy. Get in touch more with you own intuition and spirituality, and find something more solid and lasting.

I don't know how exactly this relates to your art, but implies that if you follow the Yi's advice, your art may express more meaning. I would see this in the simplest of terms as a need to do more inner work, to pay less attention to what is going on in th world around you and more attention to your inner world. Sounds like you may need to go your own way to do this, maybe take some time to yourself. And I don't know exactly why but the whole reading sounds like you could use a shift more toward higher learning, reading more and thinking more. Gaining a deeper understanding. And, as Meng pointed out once in a reading of mine, 52 doesn't have to be meditation. That may benefit you, but really just means being still.
