22.3.4.5.6 to 17 - Attracting the right person

I wanted to get others' take on this reading. ((please and thank you in advance!!))

I asked the Yi - "What do I need to do to attract the man that will give me the love and attention I deserve and need?"
I got 22.3.4.5.6 (Grace and Beauty) changing to 17 (Following).

so for 22 - I am taking that to mean I need to express more of my internal essence, let my grace and beauty out more? I read the words "beauty of form" and being something *for* someone. the example of a wildflower was given ... what makes a wildflower beautiful? some may thinks its beautiful and other may see only a weed. I am inclined to ask, "so how do I know who to preform for?" but I guess I should just let my beauty out and be myself and see who appreciates it?!? LOL

But also - kinda of confusing about 22 is the ability of it to be superficial. so I am a little confused!

And then how does that lead into 17 - Following? I should be my beautiful *wildflower* self and let the wind carry me where it may? Going with the flow? it would seem I have no say in the answer to my question. I have to just be and let it carry me?

....any clarity will be welcomed!!!

Yes 22 is somewhat superficial, but it also means bright and energetic. So begin with being radiant!

Line 22.3 describes someone high in love, or high/drunk, or way too adorned.
Line 22.4 has a brilliant appearance (red), but it also has substance (white). Line 22.4 "should abide by its commitment to the formal marriage and seek the essence of line 1 rather than be abducted by the adornment of line 3" (Tuck Chang).
Line 22.5 describes grace in a garden on a hill, and a small but heartfelt present. It's a line of happiness and good fortune. I don't know how much love and attention you feel you need and deserve. But this line says that it doesn't have to be a great amount to make you happy. Great dramatic displays of love are usually just an empty performance.

So far, I believe the advice is to forego blindly falling in love with beautiful looks only, and instead also seek substance in the other person - even if they don't have an awful lot to offer to you. Going with the flow, as you put it, might easily catch you in the trap of letting yourself fall head over heels with a knight in a shiny armour, without checking out his true character.

Line 22.6 and 17 are somewhat dubious. 22.6 can show a relationship ending, but, it can also show true inner grace (or, who knows, maybe even a wedding). Given the lines that come before it, I believe the advice is if the person you like turns out to be just a pretty face, then end it and 'the search continues'. But if the person you like turns out to also have substance, and something small but heartfelt to offer, then prepare the white dress and follow him thereafter.

Line 22.5 - I don't really know how much love and attention I deserve - but I do know that I want someone to be genuine and true...so what you said is quite true! It does not have to be a great amount to make me happy! it just needs to be true!

So in essense the casting says - Be Radiant and when you find someone who seems genuine - follow them!

... when you find someone who proves that he is genuine, it's not enough to seem to be.
There could be wine at 22.3, so don't take any decisions during that.
A stroll through gardens at 22.5 seems to be a better environment to judge the other person.
