I live an extremely simple and frugal life up in "the hills and gardens," in a place with lots of wealthy and famous people around.
I've drawn this one before being commissioned to design a house for a famous musician, and also before becoming friends with a TV/movie star.
Other times it wasn't quite so literal.
The advice was just to be myself (which I likely would have been anyway).
Authenticity is what one has to bring to the occasion, or to the family (Zhi Gua 37).
The shabby silk is just an empty wrapping. It lacks the meaning that society wants to give it.
You just bring what you can.

I have got this one recently.
The Yi was saying - Do not try large schemes, do not be over focused on the format. Do concentrate on what is inside, in the essence. However simple and humble it may seem, this is what is going to work for you. It did, actually.

All the best,
Mirian
