You already asked the very same question and received the answer 22.5. --> Your representation was good.
I see 23.6 as an answer refering to you worrying about the outcome rather than saying that you will get the job or not. Just wait for an answer and meanwhile relax... Yi said you appeared sincere to the persons of charge.

As I have learnt it to be, you have two options here: be a small man, insisting and doing a mess, or be the noble one, get a carriage and move on

Something you won t be able to enjoy and is bound to fall from the tree. You won t eat it but it will come back into a new form.

Please come back with an update, so we can learn!

@stevep

Ah, I see, sorry. :eek:uch:
I can't say anything substantial about 23.6 in this context due to a lack of experience. I am curious about the outcome -- anyways, good luck.

Update!

7 dec: sent my resume . Got hex 23.6

8 dec: shortlisted for interview for 11 dec.

11dec: i have done my interview.
I felt i done well.
Hiring manager and me shared the same vision.
As i was the 1st candidate they interview.
They mentioned they will like to view more candidates before making a decision.

Notes: i apologised for posting this asking for views after i was notified being shortlisted.

Because i do have a view of 23.6. I want to know what others think as well.

The outcome will be within 2 weeks.
I will post updates.

Any questions are welcome.

Thank you people.

So I was right.

I casted this a couple of hours ago about work and a week ago about my house. It looks like I m going to lose everything I have right now.

Good fortune, good fortune; endless good fortune. But still on a diet and having to see fruits fall from trees.

Hello stevep,
thanks for the update and sorry to hear that.
23.6 is speaking of "a large fruit still uneaten", (Wilhelm) resp."a great fruit which has not been eaten" (Legge). You may feel that your talents are not recognised and your potential goes wasted, but as the metaphor is clearly saying -- this "fruit" is still there. Keep on cultivating the tree, so that the boughs grow and it will be easier for the people to reach out to the fruit. Don't let your self down, painful hexagram 23 is also terminating here, since it is the last line of the hexagram. Stay open and receptive (2) to the things and events that will cross your path. Good luck and a happy new year.
P.S: Same goes for you, olga.

I'd like to point out that the question wasn't will I get the job, but how did they view the CV. In the past I got this combination about a redundancy - the fruit was the fat redundancy paycheque I got. Maybe they got worried you'd have lots of demands? In contrast to 'small men', who can easily be disposed of, and tear down their temporary huts. Sorry to hear you didn't get it and fingers crossed for the (near!) future.

Olga: this combination feels bad, but it's certainly not the worse. There is a large fruit, and there is progress. What did you ask about your home?

Olga: this combination feels bad, but it's certainly not the worse. There is a large fruit, and there is progress. What did you ask about your home?

I asked about sending away the girl the other two housemates wanted to send away: 23.6

A month later:
my position in this house? Meaning: am I staying or am I leaving? (I was wondering it as living with these people has become unbearable but one of them wouldn t leave despite the landlord telling him, he is sort of occupying the house, so it looks like if I really don t want to live with him it will be me the one who will need to leave): 23.6

A month later:
How to send him away? (I was exhausted by then): 23.6

Two days later I got the landlord s letter saying he wants his house back.

So I got 23.6 for my position in the house and about sending the two housemates away. Three 23.6 over a period of two months.

I told them the landlord wants his house back but the housemate I don t like hasn t even bothered replying to me, hasn t said anything. So I wonder what will happen. I certainly can t just leave like that, I am the one legally holding the house tenancy agreement.

But you say there is a large fruit, and there is progress. I want to be optimistic :)

A small update:

There was no need to send away the girl, the girl just didn t bother to come back - nor did she bother to get her stuff, leave the keys of the room, and tell us she was leaving. But no need to do anything.

The fruit was ripe and was about to fall from the tree itself.

(now since I got the same casting for the other housemate, I really hope he will be falling from the tree too ;) )

But what exactly was your question? Was it about redundancy or about a job you were losing?
Because in that case the line would be saying , Don t try to fix it, go on and move and something will come of it (redundancy!)

I apologise if I got carried by imagination

Olga you're totally spot on. That's exactly what the line meant for me
I already knew I was being made redundant, and I had asked 'what is my best way forward'.
Thanks for the detailed update, and good luck with the other housemate!

Well today the girl has claimed her room back despite is no longer free.
And since she has refused to pay I have decided I am going to change the locks and get her take her stuff only cash in hand.

This way while she has sort of been a natural 23.6, shutting out herself, he will be a more forced one. Cos he hasn t paid either, and keeps threatening, so I have no intention of giving him the keys.

Unfortunately I can t be the noble one leaving here as everything is on my name for at least another six months. I could put up with everything if they had at least paid.. but with all this messy thing of fooling me around, there really is no point in losing money and mental stability.

Well since someone upped this up I can give a serious update about my 23.6 :)

With hindsight, it was a real invitation to be the noble one and move on. Leave the situation as painful as it was and get rid of the past.

A few months after I casted the three 23.6s the landlord died.
I found myself hanging onto a house and its furniture, with the bad housemate getting illegally into my computer (and probably copying my hard disk). It all ended with a lot of stress and money lost for actually no reason other than it being a matter of principle and some hope to put that furniture into my own house.

I should have just left when I got the casts!!
