Hi,

I've asked the IC: "How can I win X (person) over to my side?"

24.1.6>23

Can't relate these lines to my question...and what's H23 meaning here?

Thanks in advance for your insights. :bows:

It suggests that you can't win them over to your side.

Does this have something to do with a job?

Anyway, regarding this failed relationship, you are thinking of returning to it in an entirely wrong way, a way that will entangle you in misery 'for at least ten years.'

You are missing some important information or are in some other way misinformed. Maybe you are out of step with the times. You must discover what your error is and turn around before it's too late. You might talk with other people and try to pick up on what it is you don't know.

Hex 24,1,6 > 23

This answer is telling you to come back/return from a completely wrong approach. Don't try to 'win' X over to your side. Don't try to win anyone over to your side, just be yourself and follow your truth as best as you can. This answer isn't telling you anything about X or how to win him/her over. This answer is addressing your internal processes directly.
The Zhi Gua Hex 23, represents splitting from your path, and your self-belief.

By not interfering with the universal process you merge with the universal process.

Hex 24,1,6 > 23

The Zhi Gua Hex 23, represents splitting from your path, and your self-belief.

Do you think so? Cannot it also mean shedding something, simply getting rid of something we don't need?

This is just my own view, but I see this answer as being directed entirely to internal processes - thoughts, feelings, intentions etc. My take on Hex 23 is that it represents the stripping away of true perception by the increasing encroachment of acquired conditioning. In a situation of getting rid of something, I'd be more inclined to expect Hex 43, Kuai, Parting, or possibly Hex 33, Tun.

Well, once I had ordered two of something which usually are sold as a pair. When I realized I only needed one of them, I managed to get the company to take back the one I didn't need. My relating hexagram was 23. So that's why I think 23 can simply mean getting rid of something you don't need ... with the assistance and cooperation of other people.

... but I find all the hexagrams can be read on so many levels that I am not actually disagreeing with you, just wanting to add that as a side note.
