Hello everyone,

My fiancee and I are seriously considering purchasing an investment property in a different town that shows some future potential. I asked the iching "Please tell me about buying an investment property in X town". I received 26.1.6>46 as an answer.

I took it to mean that the outcome is good but there is a danger/issue that needs to be dealt with before we go ahead with the plan.

Then I asked "Please tell me what is the danger with buying an investment property in X Town" and received 46.4>32... which confused me because it seems very positive and it does not really speaks of any "danger".

I would really appreciate any insight to this. The investment is significant and I would truly prefer to deal with any potential issues ahead of time.

I took it to mean that the outcome is good but there is a danger/issue that needs to be dealt with before we go ahead with the plan.

I don't see danger, I see held or restrained growth which is not always a bad thing at all. Lines 1 and 6 change here so I take them together as 'containing' the 46. To me it reads literally as 'Restrained Growth'. What could be a better auspice for investment for the very purpose of investment is that you put your faith in growth before you have proof it will bring you increase. This cast looks like a picture of what investment is. I believe this is why you got 46 again. There is always a risk (line 1) and there is always a chance for gain (line 6) but within this lies the real possibility of growth (46).

This brings to mind all kinds of gardening metaphors, plants, young trees that are restrained in their flourishing to yield more fruit later. And of course there is the imagery of the gelded pig in lines 4 and 5 ...which you didn't get, but the overall meaning of 26, Great Taming, indicates corralling.

I would take this as a favourable cast for investment but it may present drawbacks at first or rather it may take some time for the investment to make any return, though I feel 46 says it will, incrementally not over night.

Well there wasn't danger in the first cast, perhaps you just got stuck on looking at line 1 rather than the whole cast ? How can Yi say what the danger is when there is none ? It confirms I feel the advice in the first answer. What this brings may not be something you can immediately see, it's a vision of possibilities, a goal and moreover something that can bring lasting influence or results in your life.

I find if one asks a second question on an incorrect premise, here that there is danger, Yi doesn't describe kinds of danger if there is none, instead you have a confirmation that this is a good idea if you are prepared to stay with it (32) it may be an investment that develops slowly/incrementally, rather than a sudden payback...but that is the nature of investment. So based oin these readings I would go ahead.


Disclaimer. In investing large sums of money do also use your own good sense plus financial advice, as well as Yi interpreters on the internet won't you.

Thought I better throw that in although I feel quite confident about these casts. 46>32 Pushing Upward's Continuity is the sentence it makes. Sounds good to me for an investment.

What about the sentence the first answer made, Great Taming's Growth ? You see where I'm coming from ? There's a theme here that has to do with steady incremental gain through investment I think.

Thank you Trojina! You are absolutely right... sometimes we get hung on small details and forget to look at the big picture. Yi is wise and so far has been bang on in just about every question I have ever asked. I feel very optimistic about this move and believe that in the long term it will be a good investment. I feel comforted by the fact that Yi seems to think the same.

And yes... my life right now is a happy one. Finally everything clicked together and my heart is happy and at peace. I feel very blessed and fortunate
