26.2> 22 about moving

hello all,

For quite some time I want to move but I don't have the guts for it. I've been wondering if it is the right move to leave what I have here for almost nothing some place else.
Some days i think "yeah i should do it" and the day after: "I am too scared".

I asked the IC what would happen if I leave here to move to S. this fall?
I received 26.2 to 22

Ok, line 2 seems to talk about what's happening now. I am stuck, I can't move. I am building forces. It is positive. But 22??? I don't get this one.

My initial reaction to the symbols you received was very positive.

Mountain trigram represents you. First of all, as you admit, you are demonstrating its energy quite clearly of staying put. If metal is to drain and control you, why not go with the enemy and use metal as a Plan or Schedule, something involving the discipline of Metal? That way your Wood in 54 can be shaped appropriately. This hexagram can point in a couple of directions, but if you explore them carefully you can see which way is most appropriate for you. On the one hand, I can see how you might not be able to move, because the image of 54 is not so forgiving. This would imply that instead you get creative with what you have in your life now and somehow improve or make small changes locally.

The final hexagram seems so promising! The inner births the outer (fire creating earth). This suggests inner contentment with your home (Mountain). It also suggests that the inside is happy with the outside, as it is supportive of it. So what does it mean? First of all, fire is most supportive in the summer, so I would say that as the season progresses, you will be gaining more and more certainty on your situation, on whether or not you can or really want to move. You should know by summer if you put real focus into it.

22 also has an element of refinement and subtlety to it. To me this suggests that your improvements, if you make them, will benefit your life on a higher level. You could end up in a new stage of life that you relate to in a much higher way. An example of this would be when someone acquires a new roommate and that roommate brings an influence into their life that changes it for the better.

22 says important issues can't be decided this way and
26.2 says the axelstraps are off the cart so you aren't going anywhere for now until you've repaired them and this enforced stop is maybe saving you from yourself.
26 is restraint while you do the necessary ground work for great harvest.
I think "necessary groundwork for harvest" is probably the key.
So, from where I'm standing I don't see any encouragement to move right now but maybe to prepare better because axel straps are small and unseen but without them the wheels fall off.

I know I am the only one who can take the decision. If it is difficult when someonelse impose their decision on you, well it is difficult also to sometimes decide by yourself

I know I need a very good plan. But so far, I am havong a hard time planning things.

Yesterday when I was in the phone with my Dad, I thought: "I need to make a decision and this Fall I won't be here anymore".

Ok I will try to think about that. However I have to say: a roommate is out of question . I am kidding. I guess if I take the decision to move it would be bring more reassurance in a certain way. If I do it it is because I do believe in myself. Staying here would be I am not confident enough in myself. I am not sure I sound quite clear and/or mentally healthy right now

I thank you. Right now I am stuck and I know I need to repair things before moving. I guess the axle I need to repair is my confidence. Without it, I can't move. I can't make decision, healthy decision. It will take a little bit of time, I know. Anyway I wasn't planning to move next month...I've been waiting for a while, I can wait a little bit more.

The commentary on line two says, "contents himself with waiting." In other words, the time is not right. One important idea behind hexagram 26 is that a person has to gradually build up energy. In other words, prepare, prepare, and prepare some more. The upper trigram is a mountain. A mountain tends to stay put. The lower trigram is heaven, or energy, but the energy is stopped by the mountain until enough energy builds up to "blow" the mountain. Line three depicts the idea very well. For now you are being held back. The time will come if you prepare, but probably not as soon as you like.

I thank you for your answer. You are right. At present I am so stuck....I can't move. I need a push or push myself to move. I know it won't be tomorrow. Many things to think about: consequences and what ifs . I really need to prepare.

Fall is still a long way off, and line 2 is about you voluntarily waiting, no one is stopping you moving, you are stopping yourself. As you say, you are still ill prepared and lacking confidence, so remember it is you that has taken the wheels off. Now you need to start reattaching them.

But by the time September comes you will be ready to leave, and the outcome will be harmonious.

Thank you Cuckoo. You are right, I am the only one responsible for the situation and I know it. I know I ned to build up my confidence and believe in me! This is very important. When I talked about this with friends, it seems clear and they believe in me...I am the only one who doesn't believe in myself. It is weird! It will be a slow process but I hope that for September things will be clearer.
