Hi everybody!
Here I am again with another question about a new job.
I’m on a desperate search for a gainful employment, but it seems I’m only able to get job offers for which I think to be unsuitable…:p
Anyway, because of my wide-open mind (or perhaps I should rather say, because of my desperation ) I’ve accepted to have a job interview for a very interesting workplace. The first interview went very well and the second one even better: I got the job and next week I'm starting to work there.
But now I’m really scared about it! I’m afraid to not meet my future employer expectations and eventually to loose the job…
So I asked I-ching: will I able to get good results?
I think the first hexagram is very auspicious…but what about the hex 41? It doesn’t look so nice…
Please, help me…and don’t be afraid to be blunt

Thanks a lot :bows:

26.3 > 41

Congratulations on getting a job in these hard times, Kulta. The casting is auspicious that you will do well. Although you have the line of worry and difficulty, it changes and won't last. Hexagram 26 implies a storage of values. I think of it as a basket or a gold mine in a mountain. Your resources and resourcefulness will be adequate for the demands of the job. Hexagram 41 suggests that the job may become something of a grind, maybe not as interesting as you hoped, but you will have the relief of knowing that your search for work is over.

Decrease without blame

Thank you, Pocossin.
Actually "the storage of values" that you mentioned was the reason why I was picked for this job, although better skilled people applied for it.
About hex 41, I read it as a decrease whitout blame, but I don't know if it is correct and what exactly it does mean :p
I'll let you know how it will go
Thanks again :bows:
Have a nice day

41 - bring things back to the essential.... like distillation.........

26.3 "a good horse that follows others" .... I think that is a good clue as to how to behave. Work hard, subordinate yourself as a new worker, pay attention to what goes on around you but don't get involved in anything but the important aspects of the job. Don't stress over unimportant things and just focus on the important things like learning how it all works and what is needed of you.

It could mean, Kulta, that when you think of this job, you feel you have lost something. The second hexagram does not usually indicate the result but only your relationship to the question you are asking. So, maybe you feel a loss, having to go to this office to work. More work, but less time for yourself!

Regarding the 26.3, I have often pondered that one myself. Seems like there's a lot of exercise of your skills involved. Someone is very conventional and tends to take the "herd" opinion, in the same way that a horse is a herd animal. Someone tends to run with the herd. Someone believes whatever everybody else is believing. So maybe you will have to restrain that impulse in yourself or in another.

But the only person who can say for sure is yourself, when you hopefully come back and tell us how it's going with your new job ... ;)

Thanks, Lucia!
I like this and I find it right and appropriate: I will treasure your reading.

This is such a good insight, Ginnie!
You hit the nail on the head, because this is exactly the way I feel.
In fact, I know I'm taking up a tough challenge by accepting this kind of job and moreover it looks like I'm defintely giving up with my previous career...:(

I've always read the second hexagram as a sort of warning about how things could turn out, but your interpretation fits better with me.

I'll keep you up to date
Thanks so much:bows:
