I specfically included in my question how I was going to successfully manage taking my dog with me ....I am leaving a very toxic, emotionally abusive relationship. My confidence at an all-time low...with big dog in tow...
I have some experience and can usually get incredible insight with changing lines....however I must be missing something.
Suggestions? Any experience will be greatly appreciated.

thank you, and no doubt about having an ally - just being practical about care and responsibility. perhaps your understanding that the breakup will not be difficult includes my beloved dog's transition as well....I'm hoping.
