What if...? 35.2.4.5.6 > 29

What if I do this? - 35.2.4.5.6 > 29

Progressing through danger?
Progressing (only) if you are sincere?

Thank you for the insights.

Thank you, patro. Maybe I didn't express it well, but the question was "what (happens) if I do this?", not "will I do this?".

this make no difference at all... since you toss coins by using *if*
*If I do*.... if means also that you are not really sure to follow that way...
the best way to ask is directly: will I do this ******?

I read some where... Richard Wilhem.... that by using if... it's a wrong way..

this make no difference at all...

Yes it does. What if I do A? doesn't mean Will I do A?.
It's the difference between open question and closed question. The open question leaves room for an open answer. Which yes/no isn't. And there is no hexagram meaning Yes, as there is no hexagram meaning No. That's the closed questions (yes/no, the "will I do this?" kind) are not "the best way to ask".

But thank you. :)

again....
this make no difference at all.....
and also like any answer you got from Yi... the answer isn't yes/no.... but finally is
yes this way, cause.....
or
no this way, cause.....

anyway... what about to ask:
how will I act regarding .....?
or something like this.
for sure it's better than to use *if* the question remain open... and you give the yi the opportunity to show you the way.

my first interpretation is still valid for me.

Hi Simona, I've replied to your other post without having noticed this one. Are the two somehow related?
Anyway, this is a tough reading. The most noticeable thing is fire changing into water outside, which is quite stunning... and then, earth changing into water again, inside. 35 is about a big responsibility and great visibility, it's a vast and bright hex, and suddenly your move makes it all sink into an abyss, what was progressing and rising above earth like the sun finds itself changed into an obscure force moving in the darkness... it doesn't seem to promise anything good. At least, this was my first impression... But then I start to think that we should read the related hex as your personal perspective about your move, so this can be how you see/feel it, and in this case perhaps you're making it more difficult than it really is, worrying too much. Just "hold your heart fast" and face the chasm, like water does, have the courage of making errors and learn from them. Well it's difficult to give advice without ever knowing anything about your move... Anyway, the clue seems to be being true to your nature and have faith in your truth. Be warned, anyway, that someone would read lines 29.1 and/or 29.3 here, both of them being quite negative.
One more very noticeable thing. The pattern formed by your changing lines (what Karcher calls the yin and yang operators) shows up in the shape of hex 36 (yin op.) and 6 (yang op.). The curious fact is that 36 is 35's reversed hex. So your "progress (under the lights)" becomes "repeated chasms" by means of a yin hiding brightness and a yang arguing to make its reasons heard and respected. This is hard contrast and could explain why you feel like falling into the abyss if you proceed. You may feel too exposed and would prefer to hide, but the active part of you feels this concealing as an injustice and would say: come on, cross that damn river! Or at least this is the best my imagination can do with this lack of information... :)
