I have an important meeting with a big agent today that I've waited for - for a long time.

I asked the Yi yesterday:

"What strategy should I use tomorrow with the agent?"

Got 18.1 >26

Then today I asked: What will the result of this meeting be?

I received 36.1.3 > 2

I see the first reading to mean that I need to repair what is spoiled by showing determination? And that I contained my potential for the right agent?

I'm really confused as to what the second hex means - whether it's positive or negative.

Any interpretations are really welcome!!

Anyway hexagram 18 makes me think you have met this agent before.. have you?

Consider I'm no expert here!
But 18 usually comes up when something needs mending. In my own experience it's always come up when I was dealing with that person (seeing each other or working together) and when I had used the wrong words or attitude.

The first line says that the father has caused the damage (could the father be the agent?! ) but if the son is able (you, following my contorted brain) then everything will be fine.
Someone here in the forum says that
father= the past, your past actions
son= the present, your present actions

That is to say that the mistakes you made in the past are not so important if you are careful now.

Since you asked: what strategy should I use? the answer to me looks like "you will need to mend"

I think the hex is saying go slowly, hide your light and restrain yourself for now. You can't speed this process up wherever it's leading.

I see in line 1 you are talked about - maybe this agent will talk in a not nice way about you?

36.1.3 > 2; this is an interesting reading. It says you will succeed in this case and yet you are perhaps over enthusiastic in general about this. You will feel conflicted and the advice seems to be that you shouldn't be a fanatic!
