Hello Forum Friends!

Well I recently had an astrology reading which advised me that I have to take advantage of these next few years in order to develop a new skill. A shift in career certainly seems to be calling, I am tired of unstable temporary jobs. But I keep putting it off, mainly because I don't know what I would study, and I often get this feeling like it's not necessary, that things will just work themselves out. I mean who really knows what the future could bring, so why worry?
But now this astrologer got me thinking about it again...

So really,

Is it important to develop a new skill now?

Hello Kalikari
Having a string of temporary jobs mixed with the recent reading sure seems to have got your enthusiasm for study bubbling again.

37 - Hesitant beginnings produce a place of personal growth and development of maturity
37.2 - Your current attention lie in the more daily matters that interest you. Putting what interests you and your beliefs first and foremost is the right thing to do for now.
37.6 - Accepting where you are now and understanding why you are feeling like you do now, with full honesty and sincerity, will allow you to be trusting of your situation and to go forward in the direction that is the most appropriate for you.
5 - Your intentional inactivity will point you in the right direction. When the time is right you will know.

It suggests that you be very sure what you want before going any further. Maybe this or maybe that type of thinking is a waste of time, you have to make a choice then go for it. It requires a sincerity on your part, then you will achieve your goal.

Hi WF
The underlined doesn't ring so true for me. The question kali asked was "is it important to develop a new skill now?" Are you suggesting that a decision is needed now? Isn't it a bit more of trusting where she is now, trusting the process that she is going through rather than being sure of what she wants?

Take Care

It seems to me that she is very unsure of what she actually wants to do. Changing or learning new skills is lovely and very beneficial but they serve no purpose if her heart is not really in it. Like she decides on the spur of the moment to be an accountant but after 6 months she realizes that she hates it, so a waste of time.
That is why she has to be sure what she wants to do before proceeding any further, and that requires very careful thought, investigation and a realistic outlook.

So look at line 37.2 again, "She should not follow her whims". (Like I always dreamed of being a movie star)

So, the final answer is Yes, she should learn new skills but for the right reasons and not for some silly flight of fancy.

HI WF

Kali's question focuses on "now"
I can see where your thinking is coming from and going. My initial take was that maybe Kali may not need to develop a new skill now and may not need to even make a decision now. Hex 5 points to this.
LiSe's take on this one. 37.2 - Do not adapt to what does not belong to you.

Similar to what you are saying but not quite hitting it on the button.
I guess in the end Kali is teh one who has to make her own interpretation, it's most important for her to realise not to feel pressure to make a decision now, whether that is aconsidered decision or a spur of the moment.

Take Care

Mike
